Rachael and I met at a Red Robin parking lot near the Tacoma Mall. She texted me she was running late, and I thought it was ok since I, too, was 5mins behind. Though, after 30 mins, I thought she had changed her mind. We’re here, so you can guess she showed up. It wasn’t long before she convinced me to trade my salad for a burger, fries, and a milkshake. That started her talking me into anything and the end of my potential MMA career. (Fair trade😜) The night's end was the start of my forever, glued to my girl. I don’t want to sound like “those people,” but Rach is my dream girl. She’s what I prayed for and never knew I’d get. At least one of us got our prayers answered, haha. I have never been more myself. Loving her is an adventure. We love exploring different foods and cultures, road trips around Washington, once to Arizona and Montana, and a flight trip to explore our fave state other than WA, Texas! If it were up to me, I’d marry Rach in 3 Months! I tried to!😂 But she had things she wanted to do before marriage. In the 4 years I’ve known her, I've had the privilege of seeing her love Jesus and run after him. She paid off her student loans and bought a house!! And before the ink dried, I had a ring, and the plan to ask her to be my wife was on!! I reviewed all the engagement rings she liked and went in the other direction. Designed the ring to match her big and bright personality😉 asked her parents for her hand in marriage and began surprising her every weekend for 3 months to confuse her. 3 days before the proposal, she dragged me into a ring store to try out rings. She tried all the ones she’d told me she loved (the oval shape) and hated them all and fell in love with the opposite! Don’t worry; I accounted for her mind-changing. “Ant told me he was finally ready to do couples pics of us during sunrise, which I’d been asking to do for months. But on the day of, I forgot about it and slept in until my mom came rushing in to wake me saying Ant had been calling. He came to pick me up, I did my makeup, and when we got to our favorite spot, things were not going as planned. I’d forgotten my favorite lenses, I didn’t like what my hair was doing, the clicker wasn’t working, and the tripod was tilting. I sat down and started crying, then I saw my parents, Ant was on one knee, and I don’t remember what he said because my cry turned into sobs. He had everything figured out, my best friend was there, my sister had flown in from Arizona, and he had hired a photographer! My makeup was running, and my hair was wired, but it was perfect because, on a Saturday at 5 AM, everything had changed while the world was still sleeping.” (Rach). Now we are late together and happy because Rach makes us look good. Question will she be late for the wedding? ……
