We met each other as two artmakers transplanted across the country. Kathleen was finishing up grad school while Anshika was getting entangled in the design world, and both of us craved investigating the local flora, fauna, food, and art. Our paths merged when we planned a hike with a mutual friend who bailed at the last moment, leaving us to get to know each other, while also getting a little lost on a never-ending hike. We quickly became inseparable after we schemed to teach a printmaking class together as a result of our lengthy hiking discussions. Every Monday, Anshika wooed Kathleen with home-cooked meals and talked shop, while trying to find excuses to continue spending more time together. Ultimately, the question was confronted- are we more than friends?? (obviously, yes!). Since then, our footprint has grown to accommodate 8 more feet (Lupe and Roscoe), and after a cross-country camping trip, we relocated to Philadelphia, purchased a home, and have begun to merge family even further. We are so grateful for the journey that brought us here. Through every twist and turn, we’ve built a life rooted in love, laughter, and a commitment to getting lost sometimes. And we can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you.

Hotel
We've reserved a hotel block with AKA! Please follow the link to book at a discounted rate :)
Please let us know if you're coming no later than July 16th.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside. For dancing we'll move indoors. There is one flight of stairs leading up to the dance floor. Hopefully it doesn't rain but if it does we'll have a backup plan!
Parking is scarce around Fishtown and the venue does not have a parking lot. We highly recommend an uber/lyft for the night!
Whether you choose to wear traditional Indian attire or Western formal wear, we encourage you to embrace color and sparkle! Don’t be afraid to go all out—this is your chance to shine and celebrate with us in style. Please note, there will be cobblestone at the venue!
We are keeping our celebration intimate, so please do not bring additional guests
We plan to have an eclectic mix of food (Indian fare, and our favorite pizza!) Please let us know if you have a specific concern here- we want to make sure everyone has something to eat!
