Vienna International Airport

For the most convenient travel, we recommend flying into Vienna International Airport (VIE). From Vienna, you have a few options for getting to Salzburg:

Shuttle

Additionally, for your convenience, we will be arranging a shuttle service from Vienna to Salzburg on Friday morning for those interested. The return shuttle will depart Salzburg on Sunday early evening. If you'd like to reserve a spot on the shuttle, please let us know as soon as possible so we can finalize arrangements.

Train

ÖBB Railjet or Westbahn

There are frequent direct trains from Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station) to Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (Salzburg Central Station). The two primary train lines are ÖBB Railjet and Westbahn, both of which offer comfortable and fast journeys. The trip takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, and trains run regularly throughout the day. You can easily reach Wien Hauptbahnhof from the airport by taking the S-Bahn S7 or the ÖBB Railjet directly from the airport to the central station.
