Question

Wait...I thought you were getting married in India! What is this for?

Answer

We know traveling to India for a wedding can be a lot to ask of our friends and that some of you would not be able to make it all the way there for our wedding, we totally get it! We wanted to be able to celebrate the start of our marriage with our closest friends and family. We hope that all of you can be there with us for a lowkey intimate legal beach ceremony!

Question

How does the beach ceremony work?

Answer

This is a super lowkey event, almost like a fun beach day with friends and family with a super short wedding ceremony. We will occupy a part of Long Beach for the event which you can walk to directly using the address listed in the schedule. We will be doing a short ceremony and signing the marriage certificate and afterwards, it will be a fun day on the beach with everyone! We look forward to celebrating with all of you!

Question

Which airport do we fly into if traveling from out of state?

Answer

We recommend flying into JFK International Airport if possible. LaGuardia Airport is another option, but it is slightly farther from our location.

Question

How do you recommend getting to the beach locally?

Answer

For those driving, there are several beach parking lots and free street parking along Broadway Street (which runs parallel to the beach). If possible, the parking lot on Monroe Blvd (address linked in the schedule) would be the closest parking lot to our ceremony location. For those using a rideshare app (UBER, LYFT, etc.), we recommend getting dropped off on Monroe Boulevard for easy access to the reserved area. Please refer to address linked in schedule. For those arriving by train, you can take the Long Beach LIRR to the Long Beach Station. It will then be a 10 minute walk from the station to the beach.

Question

What should we wear and bring?

Answer

The bride, groom and families will be wearing formal attire for the ceremony and then will change into casual beach clothes afterwards. For guests, we have decided to leave it open in terms of attire, dress up or down as you wish! Please also bring any items for a beach day if possible and if you wish to do so (beach chairs, towels, swimsuits, snacks, etc.)
