How We Met
We found each other through the online dating site, SALT in March 2023. Laurie sent the first message but then didn’t reply for five days! Our first date was 16 days later at Rouse Hill, Oliver Brown, with a second date in the Blue Mountains, already planned.
The Proposal
Anissa said ‘yes’ to forever on 13 September 2025, when Laurie took her to the Manly Wormhole, a special spot from a previous sunrise date.

Join us for in this heritage-listed venue for the greatly anticipated festivities of a three-course meal, speeches, music and dancing! Unfortunately there is no parking in the grounds of Lauriston House, however, guests can be dropped off when the gates open shortly before 5:30pm. Nearest parking is located at Brush Park Bowling Club on Rutledge Street, Miller Avenue, Carson Street and Brush Farm car park on Lawson Street.
