We met when we were 19 and 20, respectively. We'll let ya'll do the math.... We met working as summer camp counselors at Sunnyside Center in Troy, NY. Angelique thought Willie was extremely cool and had the best smile that could light you from the inside out and *almost* makes you do anything. Willie thought there was something about Angelique he couldn't quite put his finger on, something that stuck with him for over a decade, and the smile she generated felt the most genuine. Years later, through some persistence on Willie's part, he would send Angelique a snapchat message stating, "What are you up to?" This message was sent during the height of the pandemic and Angelique would respond, "yeah, not too much going on over here" and Willie would suggest they meet. Angelique, the pragmatist, would only agree to a walk in the open air, six feet apart and from that walk until today, it would be difficult to find one of us without the other.
