8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Attire: Anything goes, from a cocktail dress and heels to jeans and tees.
Just seeing y’all on the wedding day is not enough, so we’re kicking off the weekend with a casual drop-in party! This event will be held directly at our hotel and is open to all guests, with a special welcome to folks traveling from out of town. Whether you stay the whole time or just pop down from your room to say hello, we would really love to spend a little extra time with you! There will be an open bar and light bites, so plan your meals accordingly.
4:00 pm
Attire: There is no dress code. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, cocktail hour will be outdoors. Please wear whatever makes you feel your best! Find more details in our Q&A.
Please plan to arrive around 3:45pm to ensure time to find your seat.
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Cocktail hour will be outdoors on a covered + paved patio. Unless you decide to stroll through the park, you will not need to walk on grass.
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The bar is open, and dinner will be plated. Please select your meal choice when you RSVP.
10:00 pm
For the party animals who wish to continue the festivities, a shuttle will take us to a night of post-celebration celebrations. Rumor has it, we have a private room with late-night snacks + cake...
Hotel
Our hotel block closed on August 4. For recommendations on places to stay, please feel free to contact us!
Flight
Chicago's two main airports are O'Hare and Midway. Both are great options to fly into, and both have train lines that pick you up at the airport and can take you directly into the city. We have a slight preference for Midway as the crowds tend to be smaller there. O'Hare is larger and more updated since it sees a higher volume of foot traffic and will offer a wider variety of flight times and airlines. If distance to the hotel is a factor for you, Midway is closer!
Rental Car
We recommend that you skip the rental car. Between city drivers, valet/parking fees, and gas prices, it would be easier on your wallet and your stress level to take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. We're happy to help with car arrangements if needed- just let us know!
Train
If you are looking for a safe and cost-effective alternative to Uber/Lyft, the CTA is the way to go. One-way train rides are $2.50, one- way bus rides are $2.25, and rides from the airport are $5. We recommend investing in the 3-day pass, which gives you unlimited rides for $15. Kiosks issuing physical cards are available at every train stop, or you can tap to pay with your phone.
If you do nothing else on this list- visit the Art Institute. You're welcome in advance.
These are on the pricier side- but worth every penny in our opinion! You get stunning views of the city, an overview of Chicago history, and a front row seat to Lake Michigan.
If it's on your bucket list to try deep dish pizza, see Chicago Jazz, or catch an improv show, we made a Google list of our recommendations!
This neighborhood is our favorite in the city to peruse shops & restaurants- including our favorite bookstores.
Oh, bookstores- we couldn't choose just one! This is a link to a Google list with our faves in the city.
The best biscuits, grits, & pimento cheese we've had in the city! For our guests traveling from below the Mason-Dixon, we invite you to be the judge of its authenticity.
Upon trying their food for the first time, Corey said something to the effect of "I didn't know food could taste this good." Bayan Ko doles out a fusion of Cuban and Filipino food; we recommend the hot crab rangoon dip.
Across the street from Bayan Ko! This longtime, old-fashioned ice cream parlor has been serving up ice cream sundaes & homemade candies since 1921. Yes, in the same building! History has never tasted so sweet.
The BEST korean bbq in the city- seriously life changing. Let us know if you're going so we can come with you. There is almost always a line out the door, so we recommend coming earlier for dinner. Note this restaurant is BYOB.
This one is for our beer lovers! The selection is excellent and the food is mouthwatering. Note: 21+ only
Chicago knows how to brunch- so much so that we've compiled a Google list of our favorites. Peruse at your leisure and embark upon the bottomless mimosas at your own risk!

We understand that our city has a reputation. Rest assured that none of our events are taking place in unsafe areas of town. Use the same measures that you would in Charlotte, Nashville, or Atlanta, and you will be just fine!
We truly have no preference and would love you to wear whatever outfit makes you feel your best! Whether that's formal attire, a cocktail dress, or even just your Sunday best, we want our guests to feel comfortable and ready to boogie!
Please refrain from wearing white or white-adjacent colors...
Typical weather in Chicago at this time of year is high 70s during the day and low 60s at night. The ceremony and reception will be indoors (with some mighty powerful a/c if we do say so ourselves), and cocktail hour will be on a covered patio outdoors.
We are not offering shuttle service from our hotel to the wedding. We are only offering shuttle service from the wedding to the after-party and from the after-party back to the hotel. Please let us know if you would like assistance coordinating a car service for any part of the weekend. Note to the Murphy family: Aunt Kathy will be in contact regarding your transport.
There is a free parking lot on site with ample spots. It is unclear if you are permitted to leave your car for the night. Additionally, the venue is accessible via CTA: 15-minute walk from the Austin Blue Line stop and a 5-minute walk from bus lines 84 and 126.
With the exception of the wedding party, we are not allowing children at our wedding. We are happy to provide recommendations for local childcare services if you are interested!

I would not be who I am today without the women below. Listed in order of when I met them in life, they all helped shape me in different ways. I am grateful to have these incredible women in my life and will treasure sharing this day with them always. -
Maid of Honor
Where there is Hayley, there is Corey. And where there is Corey, there is Hayley. Obviously, I’ve never known life without my big sister. Hayley is three years older than me, and about six inches taller. In a life filled with tumult and change, my sister has remained my constant, at times literally carrying me through. Hayley embodies the intelligence and wit of our father and the fervent compassion and tenacity of our mother. My big sister is a marine geologist; her work focuses on mapping the ocean floor. You can view her work online by Googling her name, and you can view her ethereal beauty as my maid of honor at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
We were girls together. Ivy was born two years after me and is my cousin, but as kids, we were like a mix of sisters and best friends. Our houses were right next to each other so we were constantly playing together growing up. Ivy has unmatched loyalty and will go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves. My memories with Ivy are a blend of running barefoot in the backyard and dancing in our bedrooms and throwing snowballs and dressing up in too-big costumes from our maw maw and jumping over creeks and screaming on roller coasters and so, so much laughter.
Bridesmaid
Liz is my twin flame. We met around the age of four at our church nursery. Growing up, our paths ran parallel- we attended the same church (Grace Lutheran), the same high school (Northwestern), and chose the same college (UofSC). But we were only friends in passing. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of college that our paths linked for good- since then, she has been and always will be my closest friend. Liz is the epitome of a steel magnolia; her spirit is gentle, and her love is fierce. I always find myself laughing more with her- she makes the blue days weigh less and the good days shine brighter. Liz just makes everything about life better.
Bridesmaid
Ginny was my first-ever best friend. We met in second grade at Ebinport Elementary and shared many summers at Bethelwoods camp. In our adulthood, we became sorority sisters when we joined Pi Beta Phi. To me, Ginny is a paragon of girl power. Her natural leadership, charm, and confidence have always empowered me. When you see us laughing on the dance floor, think of little Ginny and Coco laughing together under the summer sun.
Bridesmaid
Tori was my absolute best friend in high school. We met around the age of 15 at summer camp, and it felt like we'd known each other for years- all I can remember is her being by my side and it just made sense. Her resplendence brings life to any room she enters. A friend to all, Tori truly never meets a stranger. From our first prom (shown above) to our first breakups (cropped from above), we went through the throes of being teenagers together. I've never pictured my wedding without Tori standing beside me.
Bridesmaid
When I think of Andrea, I think of sunshine. She and I met in our freshman year of college at the student-run television station. I couldn't tell you the exact day, but sometime in our spring semester I realized that she had become one of my best friends. Andrea’s infectious personality and grounded spirit have guided me through the highs, lows, and embarrassing moments of college life. Through it all she was and continues to be a beacon of light. She also is one of the funniest people you will ever meet.

What the hell, how did this guy get in here?
Bridesmaid
Becca is the type of friend that everyone wants to have. Her compassion is boundless, not just for her friends & family, but for all people- and especially all animals. Although we met in college, she and I didn't become best friends until I moved to Chicago. From our barista days to performing at Second City together, she showed me the ropes of big-city livin. And in our nine years of friendship, I've seen that there really isn't anything Becca won't do for her loved ones. Los Angeles is lucky to have her for now, but I look forward to the days when we're roommates again in our old age- wreaking havoc amongst the retirement home.
Bridesmaid
Meeting Arleigh was one of the best things to ever happen to me. We started working at a research center around the same time and bonded over a mutual love for board games and our kitty cats. Seeds of friendship were planted, and over the years, they have bloomed into close-knit companionship. Arleigh is down-to-earth, outrageously fun, and one of the best listeners you will meet. We are now neighbors; Andrew and I live directly below her, and I'm tickled to have Arleigh rounding out my bridal party.

I have been blessed in life to count those listed below among my closest friends. Some I’ve known since birth, and others less so. While I have many friends and family who I wish to spend this day with, I could not get married without these boys by my side.
Best Man
No one knows me quite like Michael. Throughout our life, he has been friend, confidante, and at times teacher (whether said teaching was requested or not). Michael is my younger brother, but we decided many years ago that the distinction didn’t matter. I cannot remember my life without him, nor would I want to. Michael remains the bravest, most principled person I have ever met. I couldn't be more proud of him and the life he is building in California, but would it kill ya to call once in a while?
Groomsman
Oh, Daniel. Much like my other brothers, we grew up together. Few people were as influential to me in my early years as Daniel. He was the first person I ever looked up to, and for good reason. To this day, Daniel remains an intelligent thorn in my paw in all the best ways that a big brother is meant to be. Daniel’s sharp wit echoes our mother, as his stubborn streak mirrors our father. Everyone in my party has had a profound influence on me, but none quite like Daniel.
Groomsman
No one has a bigger heart than Chris. The oldest of the four of us Liguori boys, Chris was the one who watched out for us and made sure that any bullies, schoolyard or later, had to go through him. To this day, they have not been able to. Chris is living in Wilmington with his two sons, Wesley and Eli, who are as lucky to call him their father as I am to call him my brother. Ask him how the Knicks are doing.
Groomsman
Tim O’Connor is the reason I write. Growing up, our yearly visits were the moments when my world expanded. Through it all, he remained kind, generous, and good-hearted. He and his wife Julie have recently welcomed their second child into this world. I cannot wait to see how they grow.
Groomsman
Michael has known me since I was born, which I will always be grateful for. Whether it was hunting for pirate treasure along the Wilmington beaches or holing up in the basement of West Windsor, Michael is someone truly irreplaceable. Not just to who I was, but who I have become. Michael remains direct, honest, and unceasingly good-hearted. I am so lucky to call him not just a friend, but family.
Groomsman
Kyle has been there for me no matter the circumstance and no matter the point in our lives. We met in the woods behind the middle school we would both eventually attend, when we both still had so much growing up to do. I’m lucky to have done most of that with Kyle. More so than anyone I have ever met, Kyle truly and deeply cares about every person he meets. He is funny, sweet, and often anxious (one of many things we have in common). If you see him speaking to himself at the wedding, don’t worry. That’s probably his twin brother Greyson and not the clone I keep with me in Chicago...
Groomsman
Henry is one of the most tremendous artists that I have ever known. When we met in high school, I did not know that people our age could be as skilled as he was, especially being entirely self-taught. He has only grown both as an artist and as my friend. Henry was there for me during some of the most difficult parts of my life, and not once did he waver as I sorted myself out. If you want to see what I’m talking about, check him out on Instagram, @dndoodles
Groomsman
Though neither of us knew it at the time, Matthew is the reason I met Corey. He was also responsible for reaching out a hand and pulling me up to Chicago almost ten years ago, for which I will be forever thankful. Matthew is often my creative double. The other quotation mark to match my own. When I met him, I was in many ways seeking some kind of direction. And Matthew Garry was always the one to help me jump in feet first. Matthew currently lives in Los Angeles as a working actor, but my favorite performances will always be from our Dungeons & Dragons game.
Groomsman
The less that is said about Alex, the better. He prefers it that way.

Officiant
A long-time pal of the bride and a new-time pal of the groom, Ryan is a playwright and director currently based in Brooklyn, NY with their wonderful partner Brooke and sensational dog Birdy. He holds two master's degrees and is the most prolific writer we know- and is also just a first-rate person! We're honored to have them stand with us on our big day.
Ring Bearer
You could say that Madison was the first person to see that we liked each other more than friends. They are one of our closest, dearest friends, and the person behind our engagement photos (reaction shown above). Madison Hill is a professional actor here in Chicago, and one of the most talented people we have ever worked with. A friend to all and owner of the world's most infectious laugh, we cannot and will not marry without them by our side.
