How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage!

It all began in 2014 at Saint Louis College. I was a wide-eyed freshman, while he was a fresh graduate who had just passed the board exam and started teaching as a college instructor at the same school. Little did we know that, even though we lived just a few kilometers apart, our paths would first cross inside the classroom. During the first semester, we barely noticed each other. We were strangers, never imagining what life had in store for us. But when the second semester came, fate decided to shake things up, he became my instructor for one of my subjects. 👀 Toward the end of 2014, I got an unexpected message from him. I thought it was about schoolwork, but it turned out to be something else. He started dropping little hints of interest. Imagine how awkward it felt in class the next day! 😂 The only person who knew back then was my best friend Rhea (now my maid of honor!). Back in class, we kept everything perfectly professional. But after school? Every night turned into long conversations, from simple chats to real and meaningful talks. Somewhere between the laughter, the teasing, and the overthinking… love quietly made its way in. 💘 By March 2015, he finally asked me out on our very first date: dinner and a movie.🍿It was the first time we talked openly, no school, no roles… just us. Not long after, he made a decision to resign from teaching and pursue a different path, one that would open doors for a better future for both of us. On March 21, 2015, we officially became a couple. 💞 From there, the real adventure began. For nearly a decade, our love was tested by distance. Between studies, jobs, board exams, the pandemic, and even moving countries, we spent years apart. There were airport goodbyes, frozen video calls, and missed celebrations, but we held on. Because even when miles keep us apart, our hearts always find their way back to each other. And now, more than ten years after that first unexpected message, after countless “I miss you”s and late-night conversations, we’re finally here. No more distance. No more waiting. Just the beginning of forever. 💍

Question

Can I bring additional guests or my kids?

Answer

As much as we'd love to host everyone, we can only accommodate a limited number of guests due to venue restrictions. The only guests and children attending will be those in the entourage and on the guest list. We truly hope you understand and enjoy a special night off to celebrate with us!

Question

Do I really need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes. This will help us finalize the headcount for catering and seating arrangement. If we do not receive your RSVP by the specified date, there would be no seat for you if you were to show up on the wedding day. If there are any changes to your responses, please let us know ASAP so we can try to accommodate.

Question

Can we sit anywhere at the reception?

Answer

It took us a lot of effort and discussion to finish the seating arrangement which is planned for everyone's convenience and network preference. You'll be seated along with family and friends.

Question

Can we take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We plan to keep our ceremony solemn. Please put your phones down and in silent during the processional and ceremony. Once we are announced as husband and wife, you're free to take photos and videos. Also, please keep the aisle clear during the bridal entrance.

Question

When can we leave?

Answer

It took us months to plan our wedding. So we hope you stay with us until the end of the program. We aim to end the program by 9 PM. If you must leave early, we'd personally love to thank you and bid goodbye before you go.

Question

How can we help the couple have the best time?

Answer

RSVP now!, Wear proper attire, Be on time, Stay 'til the end, Enjoy! 🎉
