Travel

The closest airport to downtown DC is Reagan National (DCA), easily accessible to downtown by taxi/rideshare. Please note there will be no Metrorail service at DCA the weekend of May 9th due to scheduled maintenance. Washington Dulles (IAD) is farther away, but accessible by taxi/rideshare and Metrorail (about a one-hour ride). Hotel options abound in DC. Luther Place Memorial Church (the wedding location) is located in the Logan Circle/Thomas Circle neighborhoods, adjacent to downtown and at the beginning of the 14th St. restaurant corridor. Hotel options around Luther Place include Washington Plaza Hotel, The Westin City Center, and Homewood Suites, among many more. Arena Stage (reception venue) is right next to The Wharf DC, a large pedestrian-friendly, waterfront destination with numerous restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues.

FAQs

If you have any additional questions, hold tight. We will probably post some more stuff in the next few weeks. Or just text us: Brian: 202-380-7753 Andrew: 202-607-4743
Question

What should I wear.

Answer

Hmm... Something nice. We will probably wear suits, but you don't have to. You don't need a tie.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

Nah. We are men of a certain age and already have a lot of stuff. Don't get us anything more. Your simple presence on May 9 is more than enough.

Question

But I really want to get you something. What should I do?

Answer

If you really want to do something, you can make a donation to N St. Village https://nstreetvillage.donorsupport.co/page/ABWEDDING N St Village supports women experiencing homelessness in Washington DC with housing and a broad spectrum of services. N St Village started at Luther Place in 1972. Or you can make a donation to your favorite local Dalmatian rescue through The Dalmatian Club of America Foundation (DCAF): https://dcaf.org/rescue-support/affiliated-dalmatian-rescue-organizations/
