Places to see
Lake Compounce Amusement & Water Park
I used to go to this amusement park every summer. Boulder Dash and Thunder n Lightning are must rides! (It’s also the oldest operating amusement park in the United States!)
Bluff Point State Park
A great walking trail that overlooks Poquonock River. One of the first places I took Marshall when we were able to visit Connecticut in 2021.
Downtown Mystic Shops
A beautiful strip of shops from thrifts stores, second hand jewelry, to blown glass! There’s something here for everyone.
Olde Mistick Village
A little village of shops I always loved going to. Shops include honey tastings, bookstores, kitschy souvenirs, and ‘Penguins, Otters, and Others’ (a personal favorite)! This place gives a nostalgic and comforting vibe.
