Do yourself a favor: skip the “Top 10 Must-Eat” posts. Put your phone away (except to take a million pictures). In San Miguel, every corner is a vibe. Just wander, get lost in the little streets, talk to the locals (yes, most people are bilingual), stumble into a café, buy some art you didn’t know you needed, and eat everything in sight, try new things! Trust us, it’s all good and fresh AF. San Miguel es mágico—no es la “típica ciudad mexicana”, sino un tesoro colonial con calles empedradas, colores por todos lados y mucha vida cultural. If you want to bring a suit, that's ok too, we just don't want to make you travel carrying the damn thing. Ladies, you know what "Wedding garden attire" means ;) Yes, the party is outdoors. Not really. If you have never been in San Miguel de Allende, we don't recommend this option. Streets are small and traffic is bad, plus most hotels or aribnbs don't have parking. San Miguel is small and very walkable, but if you stay more than a week, maybe consider renting a car to explore the surroundings (Querétaro is a gorgeous city, btw). Even if you want to visit vineyards or play golf, there's always Ubers/taxis, or the hotel and Airbnb hosts will get you shuttles that will take you there and bring you back. As always, don't drink and drive. No necesariamente. Si nunca has visitado San Miguel de Allende, no recomendamos esta opción. Las calles son muy angostas y el tráfico es pesado, además de que la mayoría de los hoteles y airbnbs no ofrecen estacionamiento. San Miguel es pequeño y caminable, pero si te quedas más de una semana, a lo mejor rentar un carro no es mala idea para pasear fuera de la ciudad. Si deseas visitar uno de los viñedos o jugar golf, siempre hay Ubers, taxis, o transportes de hotel que te pueden llevar y traer. Como siempre, no manejes si vas a pistear.

All ingredients are fresh and pure. - We are not a country with a ton of allergies, so you might not find a lot of info in the menus about gluten-free stuff or peanuts or whatever... but let your server know—most places are used to international visitors and are happy to accommodate. - Respeta a los locales: aquí la gente vive su día a día—baja el volumen por la noche. - Pide permiso antes de tomar fotos de las personas, especialmente en mercados o con vestimenta tradicional.
