How we met
Amy Jo and Steve have been dancing around one another for decades. They went to high school together but were three years apart. Even though they shared many acquaintances and were probably at the same parties and dances swaying or thrashing about to their favorite 90's jams, they never met. The stars would not align until much later. Their paths only crossed after Steve's sister and Amy Jo's friend, Heather, connected the dots and presented a chance for the two to meet. They agreed and curiously walked into Darkness in Bellevue for their first date on August 24, 2022, open to possibilities. Sparks flew and they knew that there was something there. That something grew to everything when Steve and Amy discovered their common interests, openness to new experiences, and the fun they had. The couple bonded over music, a love of costumes, and going to see shows. Their favorite thing to do is put on a record and dance the night away together. Their relationship deepened and they found strength and love. They made one another feel like they were home. One year after their first date, Steve proposed on August 24th, 2023. Amy Jo was completely clueless. Steve even bought a silver tray and cloche to hide the ring, but Amy just thought she was getting a fancy dessert. Only when the lid was lifted and she saw a little red velvet box, did she understand what was happening. The restaurant went silent. Amy implored, "What are you doing?" Steve stood up and said, "I'm doing this!" He got down on one knee. The rest is history! Now Steve and Amy Jo dream of a life they will share with their boys and family. They are excited to move together into this phase of life. They are ready to celebrate with you! So do some dancing in their honor. Enjoy the day because they have finally found one another. Celebrate this time and love one another because life is too short.

There will be light bites, sweet treats, and a cash bar. Come dance, get glittered, and celebrate the couple in a big way. This is an adults-only event. 21 and up, please. Line up your sitters and get a room! Make a night of it!

What is the RSVP deadline?

Please kindly return the RSVP cards by February 14, 2024. Fill out all of the information so that we know the number of seats to save for you and your crew. We appreciate it!

Are kids welcome at the celebration?
Answer
Steve and Amy Jo want their boys to have a terrific time at this special gathering. So the daytime ceremony and reception are family-friendly. Please indicate the total number attending on your RSVP so we can save you and your crew enough seats. Steve and Amy Jo want to keep the party going. There will be an adults-only after-party at The Lodge Dayton, KY. So get your sitters lined up and get ready to dance the night away at the afterglow.

You can bring your significant other. Please indicate the names and number of guests on your RSVP card and return it by February 14th. If you do not indicate that your partner or date will be in attendance, we will only save you one seat.

The after-party is an adults-only (21+) wedding afterglow at The Lodge. So line up your sitters, get a hotel room, and continue the celebration with the bride and groom.
