At the end of a long pub crawl following a Kiama 7s tournament representing the Goulburn Dirty Reds Amelia and Stefan ended up at the Goulburn Workers Club. Both very worse for wear they headed towards the entry. Not wanting to waste drinks, Amelia had concealed multiple bottles of cider down her jeans. Asking for reassurance and also being new to the town she turned to the first person she saw and locked eyes on Stefan. Stefan, confused and amused not only said how obvious they were but also proceeded to sign Amelia into the club. After a night of dancing on and off, brief chats throughout the night they both headed their separate ways, neither getting the others name or number. COVID-19 hit only weeks later and the Goulburn Dirty Reds set up a running challenge on Strava. Both saw and recognised the other while out on runs. Unbenounced to the other they both started timing their runs so that they would bump into the other, only for a brief smile and hello. After finally organising to go on evening walks along the Wollondilly River and chatting for hours each meet up they went on their very first date. Going out for a Thai dinner they chatted for hours and hours and even talked about plans for the future - to go to Greece and to go fishing down the coast. Then after being told multiple times the restaurant had closed, they were finally asked to leave. Two weeks later they went on their first fishing trip weekend away where Stefan taught Amelia how to fish (see below photo from the first fishing trip!) and showed off his cooking expertise as well. Waiting for COVID restrictions to come to an end they booked to go to Greece at the very first opportunity. Ticking off another plan set up on the very first date. From concealed ciders to stalking runs to Thai dinners the country boy from Goulburn and the Sydney girl now look forward to you joining them on their Wedding day.
