We met like most people, on an app (Hinge!). Every night we would talk about our hopes and dreams and our passions. Together we learned we shared two things in common: the importance of family and love of adventure. Our first date was at Il Porto restaurant in Alexandria, VA. A date full of language barriers, laughs, and a spilled glass of water. Little did we know as we walked on the pier under a beautiful full moon the sparks of love were beginning to burn between us. We began traveling all up and down the Mid-Atlantic, visiting multiple cities, riding roller coasters, visiting museums, camping under starry skies. We fell deeper and deeper for one another. In June of 2022 we decided to move in together with the knowledge that some day be husband and wife. Despite working, school, and moving apartments, we were always there supporting each other and enjoying our life together. To break the routine, we decided to take a trip to Tampa, FL to enjoy some warm weather and relax on the beach. We traveled up and down the gulf coast visiting beaches and swimming in the warm gulf water. At sunset on a little barrier island called Honeymoon Beach, Greg got down on one knee and asked Amanda for her hand. With tears in her eyes she said yes.
