Our Forever Begins Here

02-26-22

It all started in high school, where they first crossed paths in their sophomore year. Initially, they didn't speak much, just passing each other in the hallways and sharing a few classes. It wasn't until right after senior year that they reconnected through a mutual friend. As they spent more time together through the transitions into the working world, they realized how much they enjoyed each other's company. They supported each other through new jobs and celebrated each other's achievements. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day. After graduation, they stayed together. Their relationship continued to flourish as they lived together and moved to Texas. They have been inseparable ever since. Their journey from high school acquaintances to lifelong partners is a testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other.

Wedding Party

Alyssa Chaney

Bride

The bride's role includes making key decisions, collaborating with the wedding party, managing the budget, adding personal touches, and being the emotional center of the event. The bride will be seen wearing a white dress with a veil. This is not a traditional wedding, as so the brides traditional role will be filled through Alyssa, although both party’s are brides. the more feminine role is taken by Alyssa who embraces a more traditionally feminine identity or appearance. Of course, every relationship is unique, and labels can vary based on personal preference!

Jessica Chaney

Mother of the Bride

The mother of the bride is a figure of grace and support. She is typically involved in helping her daughter make key decisions, offering advice, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. On the wedding day, she is a source of calm and reassurance, often seen welcoming guests, sharing in the joy of the occasion, and perhaps even shedding a few tears of happiness. Her presence symbolizes love, tradition, and the bond between mother and daughter, making her an integral part of the celebration. The mother of the bride may not be present physically.

David Chaney

Father of the Bride

This role signifies the father’s love, and pride for his daughter as she embarks on the new chapter of her life. He will be seen walking Alyssa down the aisle.

Hunter Fudge

Man of Honor

The man of honor symbolizes loyalty, support, and friendship. He is typically a close friend or relative, chosen to stand by one during the wedding ceremony. He also is seen offering emotional support to Alyssa. His presence represents the strong bond between friends and serves as a reminder of ones commitment to her new life partner. He has been a lifelong friend along side the bride (Alyssa Chaney) ever since he was born, there is no other that can fill the role of man of honor than hunter. Unfortunately, he cannot be here with us to attend, we will hold a moment of silence to commemorate him. Flowers are welcome and appreciated, please set them next to the first chair with his picture.

Bruce Fudge

Groomsman

They have shared many experiences and memories together, which is why Alyssa chooses them to stand by her side on such an important day. This bond is a testament to their enduring friendship and mutual support, making the wedding day even more special.

Elizabeth

Bridesmaid

Alyssa and Elizabeth have actually been childhood friends since age 11, they used to play Minecraft together and even went to Destin, Florida together with the family.

Harper Lee

Flower Girl

Also known as “flower child” in a wedding is often characterized by innocence, joy, and a sense of playfulness. This bond is often filled with love and excitement, as the flower girl looks up to the bride and feels a part of the celebration. It represents the continuation of family traditions and the joyful spirit of the day, making her an important part of the wedding ceremony. Harper especially shows an innocent playful spirt that we find fits the reserved role very well. The flower girl is a very sentimental part of the bride (Alyssa Chaney’s) life.

Hannah Ritchey

Groom

In our wedding, the groom is a girl. We believe that love and commitment aren't defined by traditional gender roles. We're embracing what feels authentic to us. This allows us to celebrate our unique relationship and personalities. By doing this, we're creating a wedding experience that truly reflects who we are as individuals and as a couple. It's all about making our day special and meaningful in our own way. Don’t worry! hannah will still be in a dress.

Trent

Father of the Bride

The bond between a bride and her father is often one of deep love, protection, and support. Traditionally, the father of the bride plays a significant role in the wedding, such as walking his daughter down the aisle and giving a speech at the reception. This bond represents a lifetime of shared experiences, guidance, and affection. It's a moment that symbolizes the father's blessing and support as his daughter begins a new chapter in her life. Trent will be seen walking Hannah Ritchey down the aisle.

Megan Robinson

Maid of Honor

The bond of a maid of honor is built on deep friendship and support. She provides emotional support, helps with wedding planning, leads the bridal party, and participates in the ceremony, standing by the bride's side. It's a special role that emphasizes trust and loyalty. Megan has always been there for the bride (Hannah Ritchey) as they navigated the adult world. Megan brings a sense of lighthearted, funny and passionate energy, Megan and Hannah have been friends since high school.
