How We Met

It all began in April of 2021, when Cody and I crossed paths on social media. Little did we know, our lives were about to change forever. We started talking on the phone every day, and despite the distance, we quickly became the best of friends. Cody decided to take a leap of faith and fly to California to meet me. When we finally met in person, it was as if we had known each other for a lifetime. Our connection was instant, and we spent the most incredible week together in Pismo Beach, where we officially began the relationship. From there, we embarked on a long-distance relationship, with Cody and I taking turns flying to see each other. It wasn't always easy, but our love for each other only grew stronger with each passing day. In the summer of 2022, I graduated from Fresno State and made the decision to move to Alabama to be with Cody. It was a big decision, and saying goodbye to my family and friends was tough, but I knew in my heart that Cody was the one for me. We road-tripped from California to Alabama together, and it was the best start of a new chapter in our lives. Living in a new town with the love of my life has been an incredible adventure. We continue to support each other, love each other, and grow together in our Faith every single day. We're so grateful to have each other and have the love and support from our family and friends as we navigate this new journey of marriage!

We are so grateful to have you join us on our special day! Although your presence is more than enough, if you're feeling generous, we've provided a list of items that we'd love to receive as newlyweds. However, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing any gifts to the wedding, as we'll be traveling to Alabama after the ceremony, making it difficult to bring everything with us. Instead, please mail them to our registry address, and they will be kept on hold at the Post Office until we return. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness! Your presence is the best present.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by May 25, 2024, so we can ensure every detail is in place for your attendance. Your timely response is greatly appreciated as it will help us finalize arrangements and make your experience at our wedding truly memorable.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are incredibly grateful for your thoughtfulness! Currently, we're registered at Target, Amazon and www.zola.com/registry/alyandcodycribbs, where you can find a selection of items we've chosen together to start our new life together. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, but if you wish to contribute in another way, please feel free to explore our registry. Your love and support mean the world to us!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We're thrilled you'll be joining us for our special day! The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm, so we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to allow time for parking, finding your seat, and soaking in the excitement of the moment. We can't wait to see you there!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We're aiming for a balance between semiformal and dressy casual for our wedding. For gentlemen, this could mean jeans or dress pants with a nice button-down shirt, tie optional. Ladies, feel free to opt for a stylish dress or separates that are elegant yet not overly formal. Remember, it is quite warm during the summer.

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly request that you refrain from bringing any physical gifts to the wedding, as we'll be traveling to Alabama after the ceremony, making it difficult to bring everything with us. Instead, please mail them to our registry address, and they will be kept on hold at the Post Office until we return. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness! Your presence is the best present.
