Life has a way of aligning, or rather, the grace of God brings all things into order. Jessica and Alonzo first met during their undergraduate years at Nyack College (now Alliance University). Though they knew of one another, few knew how much Alonzo admired Jessica from afar. When he finally shared his feelings, she graciously welcomed the chance to get to know him. They spent time laughing and talking—often at the Nyack Pier—until a misunderstanding led them down separate paths. For more than a decade, there was no contact. Life moved on. Years later, through a gathering of alumni after the closing of their beloved university, the two unexpectedly crossed paths again—what they now recognize as a God-ordained, kairos moment. What once felt unfinished was gently reopened, and this time, neither walked away. Through prayer, counsel, fasting, and intentional preparation, Jessica and Alonzo have walked faithfully toward this moment—entering marriage with joy, purpose, and deep gratitude for God’s faithfulness.
