The year is 2015. Freshly 21 and juniors at the University of Oregon. These two Ducklings were following each other on social media before formally meeting. One night, after Allison posted a thirst-trap on Instagram, Sam liked her photo, and that's when Allison came to know about Sam. "Who is Sam Paulsen...?" One weekend Allison and her friends decided not to go out and instead drag a couch outside of their house to people watch. Her friend Mackenzie invited a few of her guy friends over and to her surprise, Sam was in that group. While everyone went inside to eat late-night snacks, Allison stayed on the couch, and Sam sat next to her. "Do you even know my name...?" Allison sassily questioned Sam. "Anna...?" After that first encounter, Allison and Sam locked eyes at a party, and the rest is history. But wait! Their story wasn't always easy, as Allison played hard to get. Prior to making it official, Allison told Sam to "stop being so clingy" as he was always texting her and trying to meet up. Little did she know this would be the man to sweep her off her feet! Being the good listener that Sam is, he stopped reaching out and went silent. This confused Allison and when she saw him ~doing his thing~ she immediately knew what she needed to do. After a "why haven't you been texting me" and a "you told me not to" text exchange, these two realized that they were meant for each other. After graduating, they both moved to San Francisco and moved in together at the end of 2019. They have since lived in Tahoe and now Texas along with their furry son, Cashew!
