What’s for dinner?
Answer
Italian! If you have food allergies please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate.
Question
What are we supposed to do for 3 hours between the ceremony and reception?
Answer
We recommend any of the bars or wineries listed on the website. You’re also welcome to take a nap or get a snack whatever you’d like! We will have some small bites set out around 4PM at the reception.

What does transportation look like?
Answer
Unfortunately there is not. If you are flying into St. Louis or Indianapolis you will need to rent a car to get to Effingham. We HIGHLY recommend getting a room at the Comfort Suites. We have rooms at the Holiday Inn down the street as well it is just not as walkable. If you fly into Chicago there is a train that runs directly to Effingham.

Why get married so close to Christmas?
Answer
When it comes the military and planning it’s a pretty difficult task. Russ gets “guaranteed” time off two times a year, 4th of July and Christmas. That means his friends from the military would be more likely to make it as well as Allie’s friends in the music industry who are typically off the road during this time of year. We understand it’s a busy time and it might not work for everyone but we would love to celebrate with you!

If we finish taking pictures between ceremony and reception we will go have a drink somewhere! Location TBD
