FAQs

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to venue limitations and the nature of our celebration, we are only able to include children over the age of 7—and only those specifically listed on your RSVP. If a child’s name is not included on your invitation or listed under your RSVP tab, we kindly ask that they not attend. We hope this advance notice helps with your planning, and we truly appreciate your understanding!

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Think polished and put-together—like what you might wear to a nice evening out or a formal church service. For men, dress pants and a button-down shirt (a blazer or tie is optional but always welcome). For women, a cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or a nice blouse with a skirt or dress pants works perfectly. Please no jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers. Dress to celebrate—we can’t wait to see you looking your best!

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We’ll be serving dinner buffet-style with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The final menu is still being finalized, but rest assured there will be something delicious for everyone! If you have any major dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are a limited number of on-site cottages available at our venue. If you’re interested in staying on the property, please reach out to us as soon as possible to inquire about availability. For those staying off-site, hotel options are very limited in the Elizabethtown area. The closest nearby city with hotel accommodations is Whiteville, NC, which is about 25 miles from the venue. We recommend booking early, as availability may be limited!

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Question

Can we bring our own alcohol to the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests do not bring any outside alcohol to the venue. The venue has a full bar on site and does not allow any outside beverages. We’ve set up a pre-determined bar tab to kick things off—drinks will be complimentary until the tab is used. After that, the bar will switch to a cash bar for the remainder of the evening. Thank you for understanding and for helping us follow the venue’s policies!

Question

What are the wedding party colors? (So I don’t accidentally match!

Answer

Thanks for checking! Our wedding party will be wearing burgundy and tan—the bridesmaids will be in burgundy dresses, and the groomsmen in tan suits. To help them stand out (and keep the photos looking amazing), we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing burgundy, blush, or champagne tones. And of course, as with most weddings, we kindly ask that you steer clear of white or ivory—those are reserved for the bride! Thanks so much for being thoughtful—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
