We’re getting married !

Our story began on September 21st 2024 at Montana State University Billings. Hayden had just moved from Texas to play baseball, and I had moved from Oregon to start school. We were both in a brand new place where we didn’t know anyone. Somehow, we both ended up becoming friends with the international students, and little did we know that those friendships would lead us to each other. One night, I was hanging out in my dorm with some of our international friends when Hayden and one of his friends came over. Being the social person I am, I immediately walked up to them and started asking them millions of questions to get to know them. During our conversation, Hayden looked around my room and told me that he really liked all of the Bible verses I had hanging on my walls. The second he said that, I was instantly intrigued. Before he left that night, Hayden put all of his information into my phone. What I didn’t know until later was that he had secretly told the other guys, “I want her,” making it very clear that I had already caught his attention. At the exact same time, I texted one of my best friends back home, telling her that I had a little crush on this cute baseball player. As everyone started leaving my dorm, Hayden was the only one who stayed behind to help me clean up. We hardly said a word to each other while we cleaned, and then he left. The very next morning, he texted me. Not long after, he asked me to hang out. We watched a movie, went on a walk, and talked for what felt like forever. Somewhere during that very first time hanging out, I had this overwhelming feeling that I was going to marry him. Two days later, I asked him to hang out again, and from that moment on, we were absolutely inseparable. We went on our first official date at a sushi restaurant, and just two weeks later, on October 18, Hayden handed me a little note that simply said, “will you be my Girlfriend?” with a box for Yes and a box for No. Of course, I checked Yes. Since that day, we’ve become each other’s very best friend. We’ve had the privilege of growing together, growing closer to God, and helping each other become the people He has called us to be. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how God brought together a baseball player from Texas and a girl from Oregon through one night in a dorm room, a wall full of Bible verses, and one simple text message. Now, we can’t wait to begin our greatest adventure yet, forever together.
