Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Tim Allen and Kirsten Hein
Furore is a small town in the Amalfi Coast, known as “il paese che non c’è” (the town that does not exist) because of its size and how incredibly difficult it is to find its entrance. The “true” town is in the mountains on the SS163, practically hidden among the mountains, Furore has the rigid aspect of the rock and the fluid aspect of the sea. It is a town divided in two: on one side is the port or fjord, on the other side the small town, with its houses scattered along the ridge, practically invisible to the eyes of those who travel along the Amalfi Coast. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs! Since 1997, Furore, with other towns of the Amalfi Coast, is part of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. And with its 800 inhabitants, it has joined the club of “the most beautiful villages in Italy”, in Italian “Borghi più belli d’Italia” a very selective list of the most beautiful villages in the whole country.
Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast

Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast

Tripadvisor has some decent tours available departing from various cities along the coast. Kirsten booked a boat back in 2017 to travel along the Amalfi coast and it was absolutely an unforgettable experience.

Hiking

Hiking

Among the most spectacular are: the “Camino de Abu Tabela” in Italian Sentiero di Abu Tabela, a walk of 50 minutes that leaves from the area of Pine and reaches San Lazzaro. The “Camino de Agave en flor” is decidedly milder, and leads from Punta S. Elia to Marina di Praia in the middle of the cliffs and joins the “paseo del amor” for a short distance. Path of the Gods, or Il Sentiero degli Dei in Italian, is world renowned. The best place to start this eight-kilometre path is in Bomerano and end in Nocelle, walking in the direction of Positano.

Fiordo di Furore

Fiordo di Furore

Via Marina di Praia, Campania 84010, Italy

One of the many beaches along the Amalfi Coast. This beautiful beach in particular is closest to the wedding villa in Furore.

The Gardens of Villa Rufolo

The Gardens of Villa Rufolo

Villa Rufolo is the cultural centre of the town of Ravello. One of the best reasons to visit Villa Rufolo is for the stunning landscaped garden known as the Garden of the Soul. Surrounded by ancient walls and hidden by a tree-lined path, the Romantic Victorian garden takes up two levels and overlooks the incredible Amalfi coastline. (A free excursion) Kirsten definitely recommends visiting the Gardens and having dinner in Ravello.

Explore The Grotta Dello Smeraldo

Explore The Grotta Dello Smeraldo

Also known as the Emerald Cave, the Grotta dello Smeraldo is a unique cave in Conca dei Marini. Natural sunlight illuminates the grotto via an underground passage, a phenomenon that only occurs in a handful of caves worldwide.
