Allee was out with her law school friends after their first law prom. They were all dressed up with no where to go. So, they went to O'Dowd's, an Irish bar on the Plaza. Another law student happened to notice the Mizzou logo flashing on a group of guys' pullovers. Long story short, it became known that that they used to be on the swim team. Griffin asked, "are there any hot single lawyers around, because we are looking for wives?" Allee was pulled over, much to her chagrin. She took one look at the group of them, specifically focusing on Griffin, and said, "I don't care that you swam at Mizzou, that's not impressive." Witty responses flew back and forth for five minutes. There was something about Allee that warranted Griffin buying a round of drinks, and perhaps even another. They shared a dance, and the next day Griffin texted her.
