Our Fairytale
Once upon a time, not too long ago, on an island far far away, a bond so imaginable began. Haley, the spirited adventurer who stumbled into Lewis's life one tipsy evening in a bar in Palma, Majorca (an Island off the coast of Spain, near Ibiza). Despite not exchanging numbers that night, fate intervened and she tracked him down through a mutual friend. Their first official rendezvous took them to the "tropical oasis" of Magaluf, where they explored the countryside while riding off into the sunset on his motorcycle before ending the day with drinks and laughter. Their connection deepened as they met sporadically, with their paths crossing again in the enchanting city of Edinburgh. It was there that they decided to embark on an unforgettable journey to Amsterdam, where they immersed themselves in the charm of the city, wandering its historic canals hand in hand. Saying goodbye after each adventure became increasingly difficult, as their bond grew stronger with each passing day. Despite the distance, they sustained their love through late-night phone calls, refusing to let exhaustion dampen their connection. As October rolled around, they found themselves reunited once more, this time in the breathtaking landscapes of Montenegro. From there, their travels took them to Hungary, Austria, Germany, London, Scotland, and eventually to the United States, where they settled into their new home on the prairie, graciously provided by Lisa and John. Through every twist and turn, they face life's challenges head-on, emerging stronger and more resilient together. Their love is a force to be reckoned with, a bond that defies all odds. We welcome all wedding guests to join us for a beautiful and delicious buffet-style send off brunch catered and handcrafted by a local boulangerie, Maison Lamour from Bordeaux! We ask all guests in need of transportation to the brunch, to message in the "Allan's Wedding" group chat on WHATSAPP so transportation can be arranged for you. We have designated drivers that we will be picking up guests in trips starting between 9:50-10:00am.

Flight Tips & Tricks
We have recently returned from our pre wedding trip to Bordeaux to check out our venue and explore the city! Our trip was amazing, and we know you will have a blast. From our travels we decided to add this note to make everyones travel experiences easier : For easy connecting flights and with the least amount of travelling, we suggest flying to London Gatwick as there are lots of routes from the US to Bordeaux via self transfers. Make sure to give yourself a minimum of 2 hours to transfer time.

Best Flight Website
We recommend using the website called Skyscanner (also an app for your phone) to find the cheapest flights from all airlines and airports. If you prefer a more premium airline, this is the website to use.

Norse Airlines
For affordable flights that aren’t going to break the bank we recommend Norse air, this is a very cheap airline that has “no thrills”. It's currently too early to book for next year but keep an eye on the website around October for cheap deals in April. This airline flies into London Gatwick which is ideal for a connecting flight to Bordeaux. Prices start around $180 one way. Flights from London Gatwick to Bordeaux are around $50 one way and fly multiple times throughout the day. None of these flights include bags or meals so expect to pay more for each bag and meal. Norse Airlines flies from: -Miami -Orlando -New York -Los Angeles
Train
Bordeaux Saint-Jean Train Station
Luckily our chateau is 30 minutes from the city of Bordeaux and 45 minutes from Airport Bordeaux. Whether your travels start before the wedding or continue on afterwards, use of trains are an incredible way to see both the country and cities in France and any other country you'd like to visit! The Bordeaux Saint-Jean station has amazing routes that can connect you to Paris (2hrs), or anywhere along the breathtaking French Riviera (Monaco, Nice, St. Tropez and Cannes).
Shuttle
Shuttle from Bordeaux to Chateau De Garde

Hotel guests, please look for the "SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR THE WEDDING OF HALEY & LEWIS" sign placed at the hotel's front desk. There will be a shuttle departing from Staycity Hotel at approximately 2:30 pm and taking guests to Chateau de Garde, arriving between 3:00-3:15pm for the pre-ceremony welcome. Please contact Julie Smith +1 352-275-8557 in regards to any questions about the shuttle service and please let her know if you or someone you know at the hotel Is running late, to ensure everyone makes it onto the shuttle for 2:30PM, as we only have one shuttle departing only once to the wedding venue.

Being new to the YMCA gymnastics team I was very intimidated by this very outgoing, bubbly person. She immediately started talking to me asking all these questions, which at first, I was a bit shy, but Haley being Haley always makes you feel welcomed and loved. We went from gym buddies to best friends, to family in virtually no time at all. Even though I moved across the nation when I was nine years old, we still kept in touch. Anytime I came back to Florida Haley, and I were inseparable. From our late-night heart-to-hearts to our spontaneous adventures, we’ve shared countless memories that have shaped who we are today. And then came Lewis…From the moment Haley told me about him, I knew there was something special about him. His love for her is evident in every glance, every touch, and every word spoken. I don't know what I would do without Haley in my life, she is the sweetest most beautiful soul I have ever met. Haley is always there for you when you need her, whether that be a shoulder to cry on, someone to make you laugh, plan your 21st birthday or bring you a 'get-well' package after you get into a car accident. Hello, my name is Kaitlyn. I am from Jacksonville Florida, but have moved all over. I currently live in Virginia with my husband Rhett and daughter Capri. I have known Haley my whole life, as we are cousins on our dad's side. Since we were little our families would drive to each other’s houses and spend time together. I have so many memories with her. When we were little at Haley’s luau birthday party we were both dancing and swinging on the rope swing at her nana’s house. My family moved to Hawaii and then Maryland, so for a few years we hadn’t seen each other, but in high school I visited her and it was like we never were separated. She probably doesn’t know it, but she helped me through a really tough time when I visited her. Haley and I both share the love for travel together. A few years later we traveled to Hawaii together for her high school graduation. This was truly a special experience to share with her. It was the first time we both traveled so far without any adults. In 2023, we ended up seeing each other in Nice, France for a few days. In 2020 she was a bridesmaid for my wedding and I am so excited to be one for hers. I have always thought Haley brings light to any situation. She has such a big personality and is such a beautiful person. I can just see through pictures how happy Lewis makes her. I am so happy she has found the love of her life! When should I RSVP by?
Answer
RSVP's will be due and finalized on and no later than March 1st, 2025. This will be two months before the wedding date.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
As mentioned in the schedule section of the website, we are having a pre-ceremony welcoming with tasteful drinks to allow guests time to arrive on property, enjoy the breathing chateau, and find their favorite seat before the ceremony begins. {Guests must arrive and be seated no later than 4:45 (16:45) PM, to ensure a stress-free and on-time ceremony!}

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Transportation will be arranged the day of the wedding for guests coming from our partnered hotel, StayCity Bordeaux, as listed under hotels. We will also be trying to arrange transportation to our second partnered hotel, following the next couple months. Frequently check our website for updated information.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our wedding attire is garden-attire with a touch of black-tie elegance. We want everyone to be their best-dressed, but bring a pop of color! fascinators and derby hats are very-much welcomed! You can find examples of appropriate attire under the ceremony section of the schedule.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes there is two different lots on the Chateau premises where cars can park, if people may be driving themselves. A parking map will be provided the week of the wedding.
