How much will it cost roughly?

Answer

For flights and accommodation, we estimate that it'll be around £2,000 per person. This price is based on the direct flight and 5* all inclusive resort we will be staying at for 12 nights. For a more budget friendly visit, we recommend non-direct flights, and using an alternative 3 or 4* hotels and apartment/airbnbs. This has estimated to be around £1500 or less per person. How long would we need to be in Mauritius for?

Answer

Direct flights are approximately 12 hours, so to make the most of your time away we would recommend anywhere between 10/14 nights.. but of course this is totally up to you! We will be staying in Mauritius from 29th May - 11th June.

Do we need to provide a 100% yes/no response at this stage?

Answer

Yes. We would love for you to be able to fully confirm if you will be able to attend or not, however we know that this may not be possible for everyone at this time. We need to know by the 31st of July 2024. For those who don't RSVP by this date we will assume you are unable to attend. As it's a destination wedding, we understand that not everyone will be able to make it but we just wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible so that you can try and be there to celebrate our special day.

Are flights available now?

Answer

There are no available flights online to Mauritius. Accurate prices will be available from July 2nd 2024 onwards. If you pop into your local high street travel agents, they will be able to provide you with estimated flight prices for our wedding dates.

Do you need a visa to travel to Mauritius?

Answer

From the UK, Canada and USA you do not need a visa to travel to Mauritius but you will need to complete the All-in-One form once you've booked your holiday: https://safemauritius.govmu.org This will need to be printed out before your travels. If you are travelling from UAE, you will need to submit a tourist visa application at a mission of Mauritius or a visa centre at least 15 days before travel.

Do we need to book our flights and hotel at this point?

Answer

We've investigated the possibility of a group rate for the resort we are staying at but we are yet to find out what discount can be given as we need confirmed numbers. We understand that not everyone will be able to stay at the same resort as us due to costs which is totally fine. There will be a number of different flight options from the UK to Mauritius, but this is up to you when you would like to book. Some people may want to book the flight and hotel together and some may want to book it separately. We booked ours together via the Kuoni Travel agent and if anyone would like to contact our travel agent for a quote please contact us for his details.
