If you don't want to stay in a hotel, there are many rentals around town. I will recommend a few neighborhoods that are good to stay in or are close to the venue.
Corrales, Rio Rancho, and Los Ranchos are lovely neighborhoods that are quiet parts of town closer to the venue.
Nobhill, old town, and historic downtown (near the Biopark, south of Central Ave, north of the railyards market) are all good places that are a bit farther from the venue but have a little more life, are walkable, and have good food and drink nearby.
