The George Peabody Library is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful library spaces in the world, but is also an essential space for teaching and research. The library opened in 1878 and was designed by Baltimore architect Edmund G. Lind. The stacks contain five tiers of ornamental cast-iron balconies with over 300,000 volumes, mainly from the 19th century. The dress code for the evening is Black Tie, and guests should wear floor-length gowns, formal cocktail dresses, or tuxedos with black bowties. A shuttle will depart the Canopy by Hilton at 5:30pm, taking guests to the George Peabody Library. The shuttle will make a single return trip to the Canopy by Hilton at the conclusion of the reception (approximately 11:15pm). Valet will be available for those who choose to drive to the George Peabody Library.

On the main strip of Thames Street, Waterfront Hotel is an upscale dive that frequently features live bands. The after party will plan to start here, but may wander through the rest of the neighborhood. Be sure to grab a pretzel from the square on your walk back to your hotel. Waterfront Hotel is a short walk from the Canopy by Hilton.
