How we met

It all started with a vanity

We met back in January of 2022 just a day after his birthday. About a month prior to meeting, I was sick, so like any other person does when they are sick (well, maybe just me) they are stuck in the house which leads to finding some house projects to do. I had just bought a house 2 years prior, so I was still doing some cosmetic things here and there. I decided that I needed a new vanity for the downstairs bathroom, so I went on the Lowes website and found one I liked! I had put in an order for it to be installed, but I didn't hear anything back for about 2 weeks until a random Friday night when Alfred called me to see if I had been taken care of. I was hesitant to answer because of the random number, but something told me to answer. So, we made an appointment for me to come in 2 days later to sign paperwork. As soon as I get there and we shake hands, I think we both instantly felt like we knew each other forever and he ended up talking me into applying for a Lowe's credit card (which he now helps pay for when we use it, so jokes on him), which I was very hesitant because I don't like opening store credit cards.....long story short, turns out he "messed" up the contract and forgot to add plumbing to the project, so I had to call the store to tell them the contractor couldn't perform the project, but Alfred wasn't working that day. Well, I receive a call not even 30 minutes later from a number I didn't recognize and it was Alfred. He had called me from the gym which surprised me, but I didn't think much of it and he solved my problem the very next day. I had to go back in and sign more papers and I walked out thinking to myself I would never see him again. Long and behold, he had my number from the "messed" up contract and texted me once the project was over and asked if we could catch up over drinks and the rest is history!

For all the days along the way
