How We Met
That invisible string theory? Its real. Jeremiah and I have had the same friend groups, the same school, the same events to attend, and even the same dog. We never interacted, despite these things, outside of one bonfire where I wouldn’t let him hold my hand, until 2014 at a mutual friends birthday party. Jeremiah asked me on a date which we ended up going on two weeks later, and when he still wanted to go out with me after I responded by telling him that I wasn’t wearing makeup and was wearing sweatpants, we went to someplace fancy- Chilis- and the teenage mutant ninja turtle movie. Soon after, we discovered we owned the same dog (in fact, he got his after seeing mine), fell in love, encouraged and supported one another, and realized that we were supposed to be together. Between helping to raise our nieces and many furbabies and feather babies, and building a beautiful life on our farm property, we’ve accomplished every goal together that we’ve set out to accomplish ever since.
The Proposal
NINE LONG YEARS LATER, Jeremiah got down on one knee in universal at Harry Potter world because of my love for all things HP (Gryffindor, baby and he’s the slytherin of my life) in front of our best friends and Sophie and it became official. Sophie said it best- “I’ve been waiting for this my entire life”.

Alexis’ other maid of honor is the one who makes her laugh when the world is upside down. Always ready for shenanigans and adventures, Alexis and Lauren have chased cats on the beach together and everything in between. From life’s hardest moments to life’s best, Lauren is always there.
Mackenzie McWade

Best friend, ride or die, and the person Alexis goes to for advice on all things. Has never once met Alexis with judgment on a question asked on parenting issues yet. Alexis knew they would be best friends the day Mackenzie saw Alexis was sad and crawled into bed with her to watch Avatar.

Alexis’ college best friend who she initially bonded with over sweatpants and Franzia, but who has grown to become her lifelong positivity source and confidant. No matter the situation, Kaellen approaches it with kindness and encourages Alexis to do the same.

A blood cousin to the bride but more like her big sister. Tori is the first call Alexis makes when she’s in trouble or needs to hear the truth. She’s the best mom and wife, the funniest human, and she’s Alexis’ ride or die.

The first kid to ever live in our house, Syd has always been like the little sister/kid Alexis has never had. While they may fight, there isn’t anything in the world Alexis wouldn’t do for Sydney. She’s one of the best things that has ever happened to her. And she made her a yaya (and a rara).

Stephannie is Alexis’ lifelong best friend since age 5. They have loved and supported each other through every phase of life, and Alexis always knows when she needs picked up or if she needs a good laugh, Stephannie is the one to call. From big bows and dressing up as angels in the school talent show to supporting each other in our careers and with families, we haven’t missed a moment yet.

Hype woman, advice giver, supporter, and Tia, Char is always there to love and support our family one way or the other. Whether it’s laughing together in their pond or waking up at 6 am to curl Sophie’s hair for a school wacky day, there isn’t another like her in the world.

Tara is the definition of when things get tough, you’ll have support. She is always there for every laugh, every cry, and every hard thing that has ever happened to us. From fireball shots in the garage to daily texts in our group Snapchat, our life wouldn’t be the same without Tara in it.

Cousin and first best friend of the bride. Cait and Alexis have spent years making memories (some of which can’t be shared here), and have grown up supporting each other and having each others backs through the hard stuff. She always is there to provide a laugh and is always down to have your back when you need it- Including being the wedding security at other family weddings.

Jeremiah’s little “brother” and best friend, Spencer is his first person that he calls when things go right or wrong. They’ve grown up together and have loved each other their entire lives, and Jeremiah is so proud of the man Spencer has become.

Larry is Jeremiahs uncle, but has served more as a “Dad” figure throughout the course of his life. From meeting Jeremiah when he was just a baby to now, Larry has raised him and helped him grow into the man he is now. Dedicated, tough, and supportive, Larry is Jeremiah’s other best friend.
Tony McWade

Tony and Jeremiah met selling cars, but knew pretty quickly after meeting that theirs would be a life long friendship. As a result of this friendship, Jeremiah and Alexis would come to have a second family who they adore and who always support them. Tony is always there when Jeremiah needs him for help, a laugh, or advice when life is hard.
Andrew Coleman

Jeremiah’s best friend who he has really grown as a human with over the years. From shenanigans as young adults while Andrew’s mom yelled at Jeremiah to Jeremiah being the best man at Andrew’s wedding, they’ve truly seen and done it all together. You can always count on Andrew for a laugh (even if it’s at a dark joke) and for his support in every situation.

Jeremiah’s life long best friend and confidant. Greg is always there to provide good advice, pick Jeremiah up, and help him figure out what needs to be done in any situation. From talking about hunting and shooting to hanging out with all the kids, they are inseparable in every situation and have been since they were small.

Josh is a lifelong friend, roommate, and video game partner of the groom. Jeremiah can always count on Josh for support, laughs, and encouragement when life gets tough. From high school and college parties to helping eachother with their businesses, they’ve supported each other through a lot. Also, a dolphins fan. Very important.
Calvin Richards

Calvin is a best friend of both the groom and the bride. The couple met Calvin while racing ATV’s, and soon thereafter went on a vacation to Miami which sealed their friendship forever. He’s funny, kind, and full of good advice (and has an accent so thick you’d think he was from the South). From Supercross or nights playing ping pong to helping us up here to get things ready at our home, Calvin is always one call away.

Jeremiahs brother and friend. Jacob and Jeremiah talk constantly and support each other through life’s ups and downs. Jeremiah is so extremely proud of his little brother and all that he has become.

As Jeremiah’s golf partner, Blase holds almost as important of a position as Alexis for Jeremiah. Through hard times and easy ones, Blase has consistently showed up for Jeremiah and Alexis and has always been there to provide a laugh to help them through it. The 2022 Earlville men’s league golf champions.

Another life long best friend of the groom, Andy and Jeremiah have really lived it all together. From growing up at each others houses to spending time together now with each others families, Andy is always someone Jeremiah can count on to have in his corner.

The couples niece. Sophia is their entire world and the person they care for most. She lives with them currently and can be found playing every sport offered, getting straight A’s, active in student council, or snuggling her animals on the farm. She is funny, kind, intelligent, beautiful, empathetic, sassy, and perfect.
Adyssen Boaz

The couples niece. Adyssen is a star in everything she does and has been the center of the couples world since she was born (for Alexis) and since she was 2 (for Jeremiah). She is supremely talented, kind, intelligent, funny, and an actress who could hang with the best of them. Jeremiah and Alexis are so proud of who she has grown to become.

Ryder is the son of Mackenzie and Tony and the couples chosen nephew. He is funny, kind, smart, and the most fun to be around and spend time with. He always has us laughing or playing some game together, and we love him immensely.

Another son of Mackenzie and Tony, Rizzo is the couples chosen nephew. He is one of the most intelligent humans the couple knows. He is thoughtful, kind, funny, and honest. There is never a dull moment with Rizzo in the room.

The daughter of Tony and Mackenzie, Remi is the couples chosen niece. She is so sweet, kind, caring, thoughtful, and funny. She is constantly making the couple laugh and making their hearts happy when we all get to spend time together.

The couples great niece, she is the one who made us yaya and J. Evelyn is funny, smart, talented, caring, and kind. She can turn a bad day into a good one with one laugh or hug, and is always ready to spend time with Yaya and J on the farm. She makes us so proud, and we are so happy life gave us Ev.

The youngest of the McWade babies, Ripp has his own personality. He is funny, loving, and always down to play a game with uncle J. He is our chosen nephew, and literally the cutest.

Our nephew and tiny best friend, Adler loves his j and his rara. He is all boy and simultaneously all snuggles. He has yaya and j laughing every time we’re together, and has the cutest smile in the land.
Adam Boaz

The brides chosen brother and best friend of both the bride and groom. Adam is protective, loving, thoughtful, and the person you always want in your corner. He is adored by everyone who knows him. The bride and groom fought about which side he would stand on (which obviously would have been the brides after their 20 year friendship), so he became the officiant instead. He is also walking the bride down the aisle with the brides mother.
Curt Lemenager

The brides cousin. Curt is soft spoken, kind, and funny. He would give his shirt off his back to a stranger in need. From just a baby, Curt and Alexis have always had a bond, and now Jeremiah shares that with Curt as well.
Grace Lemenager
Usher
Also known as the princess, Grace is the cousin of Alexis. She is immensely talented in all things, driven, funny, honest, and kind. She and Alexis share an unbreakable bond and are best friends.
