Saint Valentine’s Day Elegance - a romantic, formal celebration. Coastal February weather may be cool with the chance of rain - formal layers and outerwear are welcome. Guests are invited to wear floor-length gowns or refined cocktail dresses, and dark suits. Rich, romantic tones such as red, burgundy, black, or blush are encouraged. Shawls, wraps, dressy coats, or overcoats are recommended for warmth and comfort.
Our wedding will be celebrated within a traditional Catholic wedding Mass at the historic Camel Mission Basilica, a place rich in faith, beauty, and history. In this sacred setting, we will exchange our vows and rings before God, surrounded by family and friends, and ask for His blessing as we begin our life together. Rooted in Scripture, tradition, and grace, this prayerful liturgy marks the start of our marriage - united in love, faith, and devotion. We request your arrival from 12:30-12:45 PM to prepare for the ceremonial mass to start promptly at 1:00 PM.

Will transportation be provided on the wedding day?
Answer
We kindly ask guests to arrange their own transportation on the wedding day. Ride-share services (such as Uber and Lyft) will be easily available, and both our ceremony and reception venues offer plenty of on-site parking in large, convenient lots. While we won’t be providing shuttle service, getting to and from each venue should be smooth and simple.

What should guests do during the break between the ceremony and reception?
Answer
There will be an approximate 2-hour break between our ceremony and reception. If time allows, we invite you to enjoy the beauty of Carmel and make the most of the afternoon. You’re welcome to take a leisurely stroll and explore the grounds of the Carmel Mission, or stop by Crossroads Carmel for a coffee, snack, or bit of shopping. Some of our favorite nearby stops include: • Sweet Reba - amazing baked treats • Morgan Winery Tasting Room - relaxed wine tasting • Sea Harvest Fish Market & Restaurant - casual and delicious seafood We recommend allowing enough time to return, refresh, and arrive at the reception venue on time.

Our first evening together unfolded at Pirate’s Cove, a quiet bluff near San Luis Obispo, beneath a calm, starlit sky. With the ocean breeze and the gentle rhythm of the waves below, we talked for hours - about family, childhood memories, favorite foods, and the values that have shaped who we are. What began as a simple walk at sunset quickly felt effortless and familiar, touched by a quiet sense of grace that made the moment linger. By the time we said goodnight, our hearts felt full and our smiles came easily. That first conversation never truly ended - it carried into morning texts, late-night calls, spontaneous adventures, and years woven together by laughter, growth, and deep affection. From the very beginning, the California coast has held a special place in our story - its beauty reflecting the peace and grounding we find near the ocean. Guided by our shared faith and love for this coastline, we chose to celebrate our marriage at the Carmel Mission, a place that brings together both what we cherish most. Looking back, that February night near San Luis Obispo marked the beginning of everything.
