In March 2021 Evelyn traveled to visit her family in Guatemala, while there, she went to a ministry called a worship room to play violin where Alex was present. Alex was going to lead worship at his church that upcoming Sunday and since his friend who plays violin couldn't play that Sunday, he decided to approach the director of the Worship Room, Jeofrey, and asked him to introduce him to Evelyn. He asked Evelyn if she could play that Sunday at his church and they exchanged their Facebook. Evelyn played at church that Sunday with Alex. He invited her to play again in a recording he was a part of and then again in a recording for Worship Room. That is when their friendship began to flourish. It came time for Evelyn to fly back to Montana and Alex, along with his friend, took Evelyn out for lunch as a goodbye. Before Evelyn flew out, she thought that was the last time she would see or hear from Alex but he messaged her saying “don’t forget about your favorite chapin (Guatemalan). Write to me when you get to the airport.” And the rest is history. Alex and Evelyn maintained a beautiful friendship for a year and four months before Alex asked her to be his girlfriend in July 2022 in a church parking lot in Costa Rica surrounded by youth from the church! After a year and five months of dating and getting to do missions together in Guatemala and ministering together in churches, Alex asked Evelyn to marry him! They will be marrying in beautiful Guatemala outdoors and are excited to be surrounded by friends and family as they make a lifelong covenant before the Lord.

En marzo del 2021 Evelyn viajó a visitar a su familia en Guatemala estando ahí fue a un ministerio llamado worship room a tocar violín donde alex estaba presente por que aveces cantaba ahí también. Alex iba a dirigir en su iglesia ese domingo próximo y como su amigo que toca el violín no podía tocar ese domingo, decidió acercarse al director del Worship Room, Jeofrey, y le pidió que le presentara a Evelyn. Le preguntó a Evelyn si podía tocar ese domingo en su iglesia e intercambiaron sus facebooks. Evelyn tocó en la iglesia ese domingo con Alex. La invitó a tocar nuevamente en una grabación que estaba haciendo y luego nuevamente en una grabación para Worship Room. Fue entonces cuando su amistad comenzó a florecer. Llegó el momento de que Evelyn volara de regreso a Montana y Alex, junto con su amigo, llevaron a Evelyn a almorzar como despedida. Antes de que Evelyn volara, Evelyn pensó que esa sería la última vez que vería o escucharía de Alex, pero él le envió un mensaje diciendo: “No te olvides de tu chapín favorito. Escríbeme cuando llegues al aeropuerto”. Y el resto es historia. Alex y Evelyn mantuvieron una hermosa amistad durante un año y cuatro meses antes de que Alex le pidiera ser su novia en julio de 2022 en el estacionamiento de una iglesia en Costa Rica rodeado por los jóvenes de esa iglesia. Después de un año y cinco meses de salir juntos y de hacer misiones juntos en Guatemala y ministrar juntos en muchas iglesias, ¡Alex le pidió a Evelyn que se casara con él! Se casarán en la hermosa Guatemala al aire libre y están emocionados de estar rodeados de amigos y familiares mientras hacen un convenio de por vida ante el Señor.
