In the bustling city of Houston, our love story began in the most modern way—on the dating app Hinge. It was a typical day filled with swipes and 100’s of messages from her admirers when Trang stumbled upon Alex’s profile. Intrigued by his photos where he was accompanied by his twin boys and his amazingly good looks, she sent a message, and the conversation quickly sparked to life. Our chat began on March 26th at 9:22pm as Trang replied to one of Alex’s prompts about how he will watch a TV series all the way up to the very last episode, but then never watch the finale. But as quickly as it started, the conversation came to an unexpected halt after just 4 messages. After a week of silence, it seemed that Trang had ghosted Alex, leaving him wondering what went wrong. After some reflection, Trang decided to reach back out to Alex. She shot her shot and gave him her phone number right away because if not, she would end up ghosting him again. Being an avid true crime fan, she faced her many fears and paranoia by agreeing to meet up with a stranger for the first time. Thank goodness for her strong gut because just like that, the door to our love story swung wide open. What followed was a whirlwind of dates filled with dinner, golf, bowling, roller skating and deep conversations that made us realize we were truly meant for each other. From nights of strolling the City Center to cozy nights spent drinking wine painting Marvel characters at home talking, each moment solidified our bond. Our journey together has been nothing short of magical, and we are so grateful that a simple app brought us together.
