Many of you have heard the story of how we met, but for those who haven’t, here’s a recap of our meet-cute. Linda had just moved to Seattle for her new job and quickly learned just how expensive furniture could be. So she decided to DIY her own mirror. Naturally, she headed to Home Depot. At the time, Alex was working a second job there. Linda needed some plywood cut, so she stood in line where Alex and his coworker were operating the power saw. When it was Linda's turn, Alex switched places with his coworker so he could help her out. He cut her plywood, they exchanged a few words and went their separate ways. But an hour later, Alex spotted her again—this time in the trim aisle, sawing away at some more wood. That’s when he knew he had to talk to her. He walked up to her and invited her over to the power saw, offering to finish cutting her wood for her. Linda hesitated at first, worried she’d have to pay for additional cuts (only the first five are free), but followed after Alex reassured her it would be free. After the cuts were made, Alex asked what she was making. Linda shared her DIY mirror project, and well, the rest is history...
