Alex and Becka matched on Tinder on June 15, 2020. We met in person a few days later at the Hochatown Saloon, and after a few glasses of liquid courage, we hit it off. We danced that night, cracked a few jokes, and parted ways. Over the next six weeks there were dates and hang outs with friends, and Alex officially asked Becka out on July 30th 2020 (with a song, dancing in the rain. It was very cute if you ask us). We went through good times and some not so good times over the course of our relationship. We had discussed marriage early on, and we both agreed that it wasn't something we were interested in. Then one day (a couple years later) the talk of marriage came up and ideas got tossed around, and after a conversation Alex had with his sister, he began to look at rings. He finally bought one, they had a trip planned to South Dakota to visit Becka's sisters (who were aware of the pending proposal) and Alex made a plan. It was supposed to be snowing (in South Dakota, in February) and he wanted to ask Becka to marry him while they danced in the snow, just like he asked her out while they danced in the rain. As the days in South Dakota crept by, and the weather report kept pushing back the snow, Alex decided to change his plan. Becka had gone outside for a moment, just before midnight on February 27th 2023. Alex went out behind her, and as they were talking about how much they loved each other, Alex asked "Forever, ever?" and Becka repeated "forever, ever" and that's when he pulled out the ring.
