Our Story

Years in the making, but we made it!

Alana: We met back in 2019. My first impression of Caleb was he seemed very strong in the truth and absolutely determined to continue to serve Jehovah as a SINGLE brother. I remember going on a hike with him and I, subtlety, was trying to chat him up. He gave me NOTHING! I thought to myself "Whelp, I tired." Years later, I gradually realized he had feelings for me. We’d poke fun at each other over zoom, do early morning together (even after he had worked the night shift), and every now and then he would give me subtle comments of commendation... Looking back, I can see how he was silently in my corner over the years waiting for the right opportunity to say something. I remember praying to Jehovah telling him I was willing to wait for a man who would be worth it. I needed someone who was kind, patient, loving, gentle, dedicated and clear about his intentions. I knew it would be worth the wait. Caleb is the answer to those many prayers. He is even more than I asked for. How could I not fall in love with a man like that?! Caleb: I still remember the first day we met like yesterday. It was 2019 and we were both at a party with some friends. I was scared to talk to her, but I thought she seemed cool so I decided to sit next to her. We didn't really talk much, but I could quickly tell of all the girls I had met Alana was different - she was very special. After the party I remember having a stray thought 'Did I just meet my wife?'. I quickly tried to dismiss it, thinking 'it can't be that easy'. But little did I know that with that first interaction she had planted a beautiful seed in my heart. And as the years went by and I learned more about her wonderful qualities, fun personality, and deep love for Jehovah, my love for her grew. When the time was right, I knew I had found my best friend. I realize now that it really was that easy - because Alana is a precious gift from Jehovah and I'm so happy that I can keep my love forever.
