In 2019, Aislinn decided to finally buy herself some dance lessons, since she had always wanted to try. The studio where Adib was working had a "New Student Special," which included 3 private lessons; Adib was Aislinn's dance instructor for the private lessons. Afterward, Aislinn and Adib were acquaintances at the studio, saying hello in passing and getting up the nerve to invite each other once to an event. COVID hit, everything shut down, and Aislinn and Adib lost touch. In May of 2020, the dance studio offered limited re-opening by sending all current students a list of dance instructor's emails to book private lessons. Aislinn sent Adib an email, and ever after they were rarely apart.
