In 2017, our story quietly began in the halls of Arlington Heights High School. What started as a simple attempt to impress—with a little broken French and a lot of courage—became the beginning of something neither of us fully understood at the time. We grew into a friendship filled with unspoken feelings, young hearts learning love but not yet ready to embrace it. From the very first moment, there was certainty a connection that couldn’t be explained. A quiet thought: this is someone special… someone I could build a life with. After graduation, life took us in different directions. Different paths, different seasons, and distance between us. Yet, what was meant to be never truly fades. By the mercies of God, we found our way back to each other in what can only be described as a miraculous reunion. And this time, we didn’t hold back. On September 4th, 2023, we finally spoke the words our hearts had carried for years. And the rest… is history.
