Where should we park for the ceremony?

Answer

Maymont has multiple parking lots that are available to use. The one located closest to the Italian Gardens is the lot located at 1700 Hampton St, Richmond, VA, 23220. It is rather small so if you plan to park here we suggest coming early. There is also street parking available nearby.

How much seating is available at Maymont?

Answer

Maymont is providing us with 75 chairs. We have 130+ guests coming so if you need a seat please try to come early! You are also free to bring blankets or can stand but we must leave Maymont exactly as we’ve found it.

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Answer

Unless there are torrential rains or lightning we will plan to have the wedding at Maymont. Please plan accordingly by bringing umbrellas or rain wear. We will know the Friday before if we are going to move the wedding indoors so please check this website then.

Directions to The Renaissance (Reception Venue)

Richmond Airport and East of Richmond 1. Take 1-64 W (2d ramp) towards Richmond. Stay in your center travel lane. 2. Take 5th Street exit. Continue on 5th St. until you reach Grace St. 3. Make a right onto Grace St. (one way), travel about 7 blocks crossing intersection of Grace and Adams Street. 4. Make a right into parking lot. North of Richmond 1. Take 1-95 S to Exit 75 leaning towards the right (3rd St., Downtown, Coliseum). Continue on 3rd St. until you reach Grace St. 2. Make a right onto Grace St. (one way), travel about 7 blocks crossing intersection of Grace and Adams St. 3. Make a right into the parking lot. South of Richmond 1. Take 1-95 N to Exit 74-C Broad St. 2. Travel west on Broad St. about 14 blocks until you reach Jefferson St. 3. Make left onto Jefferson St. 4. Take your first left into the parking lot right behind our building. West of Richmond 1. Take 1-64 E to Exit 76-B Belvedere St. 2. Make left onto Leigh St. 3. Make right onto Belvedere St. 4. Make left onto Broad St., travel east until you reach the next stoplight. 5. Make right onto Adams St. at that stoplight. 6. Take a right immediately into the lot behind our building. South Via the Lee Bridge 1. Cross Lee Bridge heading towards VCU 2. Make right onto Franklin St., go four stoplights. 3. Make left on Adams St., continue to intersection of Grace and Adams St. 4. After crossing Grace, take a left into the parking lot behind the building. Southside Via the Powhite Expressway 1.Take Powhite Expressway across James River to Downtown Expressway. 2. Take 2nd St. Exit to Grace St. 3. Make left onto Grace-St., crossing intersection of Grace and Adams St. 4. Make immediate right into the parking lot.
