Please understand that invitations have been thoughtfully addressed and we ask that only those named on the invitation attend. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The actual ceremony begins at 3pm and ask that guests aim to arrive 30 minutes early to allow for seating, meeting other guests, and to avoid any delays. We look forward to celebrating with you!

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for the big day. Dress code is cocktail attire, black-tie optional. Ladies may wear floor length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen may wear a suit, tie is optional. We respectfully ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans or denim in addition to white, cream, or similar as a primary color.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

No, please unplug for the ceremony and let our professional photographers document the afternoon uninterrupted. They are skilled documentary photographers and will direct photography for the ceremony. We look forward to sharing those photos after the big day. The evening reception is a perfect time to get photos with the couple and other guests!! We appreciate you understanding.

We are preparing a traditional South Sudanese meal for guests which will include plenty of variety for all to enjoy. More specific details on the full menu will be available once RSVPs close. Is public transportation available?

Uber and Lyft should be available in most locations in and near Sioux Falls. Taxi services in Sioux Falls are privately owned and operated. You may find taxi options here: https://dtsf.com/cabs-transit-options/. Suggested hotels have been thoughtfully included on this site to readily accommodate guests traveling from out of town.

Is there a hotel block?

Yes! The Hotel on Phillips has reserved a special rate for our guests until September 22, 2023. You may book online (https://bit.ly/3C1olhr) using the code "JIELZU1023" or by calling 605-274-7445 and identifying yourself as part of the Zubke-Jiel wedding. There are many other hotels available in and around Downtown Sioux Falls as well, easily accessible to the reception venue.

Will I be outside?

Answer

Only as long as you want to be! All main events will be indoors with nearby dedicated parking. The reception venue does have an outdoor patio available and we plan on bringing patio heaters to keep people comfortable. October in South Dakota is beautiful, but can be unpredictable so keep an eye on the forecast and plan accordingly. Seasonal temperatures typically range between 50 and 70 degrees.
