Joanna and Abraham casually met via social media with typical social media interactions via messaging. Over the course of the initial conversation, Abraham asked if Joanna was seeing anyone prior to asking her to dinner. On July 1st, they met for dinner at Yard House and what was going to be a short dinner date, turned into hours. Before the two enjoyed dinner together, Abraham prayed for the meal and Joanna was impressed with his devotion. The evening ended with a casual "church" hug to say good night. The next day, the couple had their second date, followed by a third, and so on. Soon they fell in love, and the rest is history.

On a casual unsuspecting trip to San Antonio, Joanna and Abraham visited the Pearl. At a secluded area of the Pearl, Abraham got down on one knee to pop the question. Joanna was surprised and said YES! After the proposal, a couple was walking by and they asked if a photo could be take to capture the moment.
