Matt and Abi’s story began in April 2021 with a swipe on Bumble, and a first date they’ll never forget. They met up for a walk in the park and grabbed ice cream, only to later discover that both of them are lactose intolerant. This pretty much set the tone for their relationship: a little unexpected, a lot of laughter, and always a good story to tell. After that first date, they couldn’t get enough of each other. They quickly started their routine of nightly calls and weekly dates they both looked forward to. That summer, by a lake, Matt asked Abi to be his girlfriend, and just like that, it became official. From there, life became one big adventure together. Their first trip was a day at the Baltimore Aquarium, followed by traveling to Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, D.C., and even Portugal. They made memories everywhere they went and their favorite part has always been experiencing it side by side. Back home, they found joy in the little things too, especially trying new restaurants and rating them like their own personal food critics. When they’re not out exploring, you can usually find them camping, enjoying the outdoors, or just spending a cozy night in. As their relationship grew, so did their life together. They moved in, built a home, and added their fur baby, Gypsy, to their little family. Somewhere in between, Matt even built Abi her very first computer so she could play her cozy games, which quickly became one of her favorite ways to unwind alongside Matt. On Memorial Day 2025, Matt proposed on a hiking trail near a lake. It was simple, meaningful, and perfectly them. Of course, Abi said yes. Since then, they’ve moved into a new place and are getting ready for their next chapter. From an ice cream date to traveling the world, from quiet nights at home to big life milestones, they’ve built something truly special together, and they can’t wait to continue their story as husband and wife.
