Flight
For those flying in for our wedding, please book your flights to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). Upon arrival, we recommend that our international guests exchange a bit of cash at the airport and use some of it to purchase a local SIM card right outside the terminal if you won’t be using roaming. This will not only allow you to download the Grab app for convenient taxi bookings to your accommodation, but it will also help you avoid being overcharged. For example, the estimated fare from the airport to the city center (IT Park) is only around 250 PHP.
House Or Rental
We recommend booking your accommodations in Cebu I.T. Park for several reasons. This vibrant area is not only home to many hotels, condos, and restaurants but is also conveniently located near Sugbo Mercado, where Niña and I had our first date! Staying here will give you easy access to a variety of dining options, lively nightlife, and local attractions, all while keeping you close to our wedding venue. It’s the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy your time in Cebu!
Hotel
For those who prefer a beach resort experience, we recommend booking your accommodations along the coast of Mactan Island. You’ll be treated to stunning ocean views and a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding before and after our wedding festivities. Don’t worry about the distance to the venue—it’s only about an hour by taxi, making it easy to enjoy the best of both worlds: beautiful beaches and our special celebration!
Travel Note
The local currency in Cebu is the Philippine Peso (PHP). While it's becoming more common for establishments to accept credit and debit cards, it’s advisable to carry some cash for smaller purchases, local vendors, markets, and eateries. ATMs are widely available, and there are also currency exchange places conveniently located throughout the city. Aaron's go-to is located at the bottom floor of Ayala Malls Central Bloc, inside Metro Supermarket IT Park—remember to bring your passport if you go.
4:00 pm
The ceremony will take place at the mountain view gazebo area which has limited space. If you're not part of the wedding entourage, we warmly invite you to join us for the reception.
6:00 pm
The reception will take place at the city view garden which offers a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding mountains. Since it's outdoors, please plan accordingly.

The wedding will be in Cebu, Philippines, at Chateau de Busay on August 8, 2025.
Please RSVP, or reply to the invitation by July 7, 2025.
If you cannot attend, please RSVP anyway to help us keep track of our expected guests.
It's a garden wedding and celebration in Busay, which is the highest point for viewing Cebu City. The ceremony will be in the afternoon and the reception will be in the evening, so please prepare accordingly.
The ceremony is at the venue's Mountain View Gazebo. Please note that the ceremony and reception are at the same venue: Chateau de Busay.
It's not necessary to attend the ceremony! In fact, it will take place in a small area of Chateau de Busay, with limited space, so if you are not part of the entourage, please feel free to arrive for the reception in the evening.
If you are not in the wedding entourage, we encourage you to arrive at the reception at around 6:00 PM.
The reception is at the venue's City View Garden. Please note that the ceremony and reception are at the same venue: Chateau de Busay.
There will be two shuttles that will transport our guests to the venue from JY Square Mall, and three shuttles afterwards from the venue back to JY Square Mall. We'll update this site with more details as they solidify.
Males: Sponsors must wear barong with black pants and dress shoes; guests may wear barong, buttoned shirt, or polo with dark pants and shoes. Females: Sponsors must wear a long gown; guests may wear a Filipiana, cocktail, or knee-length dress and shoes to match. For shoe planning, please consider that the grass/garden grounds may be uneven. Please use the color palette on the invitation as your guide.
You can find barongs (for men) and Filipiana dresses (for women) in Kultura Filipino at SM Seaside City Cebu or SM City Cebu.
If light rain is expected, we plan on having tents set up. However, if it's heavy rain, the venue has a back up indoor location. Regardless, please help us pray for clear skies!
Yes, there are ramps and a small elevator in the venue.
Yes, there are restrooms near the garden.
No, there isn't a wedding rehearsal. But, there will be a 30 minute briefing before the ceremony.
Since we live abroad, and our current home is already quite full, our only gift registry is our newlywed fund which is under the registry page of this site.
The reception will end at 10:00 PM.
You can take a bus from IT Park to get to this iconic landmark on top of the mountains, where you can dine in while enjoying a panoramic view of the city.
It's the most popular food market in Cebu, where we had our first date.
This chain can be hit or miss, though we've mostly had good experiences with the ones in IT Park. Our favorite one was a branch on top of a laundromat near JY Center Mall, but Google says it is now permanently closed.
We got a great massage here.
Niña used to be a teacher in Thailand, so when she discovered this place, she couldn't wait to take me here.
We once stayed at a condo One Oasis Cebu (highly recommended), where we discovered this local, but legendary eatery, which is famous for their Cebu-style pochero, a beef soup featuring tender shanks, aromatic lemongrass, and tropical vegetables.
If you want venture a bit out of the city and hike, we recommend going here. The grounds are beautifully kept with many tropical plants and flowers, and you can hike up Mt. Mannunggal's pinnacle karsts, which are numerous, small-scale, spire-like limestone formations, often found in humid tropical and subtropical regions. Tip: it's not necessary, but guides are available for hire, which apart from guiding us to the scenic locations, was actually useful when we needed someone to take pictures of us.
They've got it all for you. This huge shopping mall is where Niña and I would go to ice skate, play ping pong, and eat!
Our favorite place to get barbecue! There are several locations in the city.
Niña recommends this for a more less touristy experience where you can explore white sand beaches like Tulang Diot, caves with clear water, a lake, and cliff jumping spots.
It's not the easiest place to get to but Niña says it is the best island in Cebu.
Niña also recommends Panglao, in the neighboring island, Bohol, where she was born, which is accessible by ferry from Cebu.
