This love story starts back in 2018 thanks to a sharp matchmaking eye and great blind date set up by Liz Goetzinger. Becky was at the gym with Liz complaining about online dating apps, when Liz asked if she’d be interested in a set up with guy she worked with. When she asked Aaron the next day if he was open to a blind date, he at first said no, but later after seeing a picture of JoJo (should maybe add Becky was in the picture too), he figured he’d at least go on one date. They met at The Deck for their first date to see Becky’s favorite local cover band Radio Revolver, and ended up talking for the next 8 hours! There was one concern on the date for Becky, but she’s glad she ignored it - Aaron’s revealed that he thought Ben Affleck was a better Batman than Christian Bale (major red flag) but she figured she could get past this fact. They found they both were musicians, loved the outdoors, had similar family values, and their lives both revolved around small dogs (shout out JoJo and Frank!). Over the next five years, they’ve fallen in love with each other’s families, adventurous spirit, and independent and supportive natures. When it came time to pop the question, Aaron made sure the ring was “delivered” in the most perfect way - in a box hanging from JoJo’s collar. Join us this fall as we say I do - we can’t for you to be part of our celebration!

Flight
The closest airport is Greensboro (Airport Code PTI). Raleigh (RDU) and Charlotte (CLT) are both around one hour and 15 minutes away and there is not reliable public transportation to travel in from those airport locations. If you choose to fly to RDU or CLT, a rental car to get to Greensboro is suggested.
Wedding party coming soon!
Becky and Aaron's favorite restaurant!
Best BBQ in town!
Best burgers in Greensboro!
Great brunch spot - recommend signing up for the waitlist online prior to heading to the restaurant
Pancakes the size of your head! Recommend going early to avoid a long wait.
Try the brisket nachos - you won't regret it!
Best, low key spot for a great southern biscuit. The drive thru line is crazy, so definitely suggest parking and walking inside to order. Pro tip - go for the fries on the side over the hash brown!
Cute local park we visit frequently. Great disc golf course as well for any enthusiasts!
Smart casual - think khakis (pants or shorts depending on temperature) and polo, dress jeans and a button up, casual dress, etc. We want you all to be comfortable and relaxed! The parking lot is stone and the cocktail hour is on grass, so we do not suggest high heels. Please no flip flops, sweat pants, cut off shorts, t-shirts, jeans with holes, athletic clothing/shoes, etc.
The invitees will be listed by name on the save the date and invite. We would love to provide everyone a plus one but have a finite number of seats at our venue to celebrate with those we love. Except for a few close family members, this will be an adults-only event. If you have any questions about your invite, please do not hesitate to reach out!
We will be providing buses to and from the venue! The buses will board at 3PM at the hotel (505 Hickory Branch Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409) and the hotel has confirmed that non-hotel guests are welcome to park in their lot. There will be a bus back at 9PM and 10PM. If you would like to drive, there is ample parking available at the venue. While you can take an Uber to the venue, because it is away from Greensboro city center there is not always a reliable number of Ubers in the area for the ride home, so please take advantage of the buses instead of relying on Uber/Lyft.
The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and the reception will be in a large tent. As we all know, Becky hates to be cold so if it is chilly there will be heaters in the tent, but you may want to bring a sweater for the outdoors portions.
We would like to leave the photos during the ceremony to the professionals, so please put away all phones and enjoy the moment with us! Photos are welcome during all other portions of the celebration.
