We first connected on a dating app, living less than 50 miles apart — yet separated by the Delaware Bay. Despite the distance, something told us to stay in touch. What began as a spark turned into a friendship that lasted eight years. Over the years, life shifted. Ky moved to Philadelphia, and Aaliyah to Wilmington. Still, we stayed connected, cheering each other on from afar. Then in December 2023, fate finally brought us together in person. Ky was in Orlando for work, and Aaliyah was there on her annual family vacation. We had our very first date — and something just clicked. Since that day, we’ve been inseparable. Now, we live together in Wilmington where we love long walks and dinners on the Riverfront, cheering on the Blue Rocks, and cooking side by side. Our story is one of perfect timing, patience, and a love that was always meant to be.
