Question

What is TYL??

Answer

After dating in senior year, we attended different colleges and eventually decided to part ways. Ten Years Later (2021), we reconnected...and Three Years Later (2024), we were engaged! TYL is an acronym that represents those two chapters in our love story that ultimately led us to where we are today.

Question

How did yall meet?

Answer

Matt: We met at Flowers High school. I played the tuba in our school's marching band, and Ebony was a flag girl. We had a few classes together too. In any setting, there was just something special about her.

Question

What was the proposal like?

Answer

Eb: After a dinner date, while "walking off the food" (this is where he tricked me!) our families popped up around the corner and there was a beautiful romantic set-up. Rose petals, balloons, "Marry Me" lights, all the things. I screamed a number of times, pedestrians and passing traffic cheered and honked. It was a whole scene! Matt got down on one knee, and proposed with the sweetest words, and I was just in absolute awe. "YEeEeEeS!!!!" was literally my answer. (Early that afternoon, he also surprised me with horseback riding which I've wanted to do for a long time. I was super excited and too busy thinking of how we could get a pet horse. Lol I love them so much!)
