Jake and I first met playing hockey together in high school. Who knew a little friendly competition on the ice would lead to something so much bigger? Our friendship really kicked off after an unexpected shared ride home from a tournament in Chicago — a twist of fate that brought us closer than we ever imagined. From that moment on, we were pretty much inseparable — spending the whole summer running around with friends, laughing too much, and making the most of our final high school days. Just before I graduation in 2017, we figured out what everyone else probably already knew… we were more than just friends. Eight years, countless adventures, inside jokes, and snack runs later… Jake finally popped the question! And yes — of course I said yes!
