How We Met

Our first date

Ashley and Jerry met one fateful day in San Francisco on August 3rd, 2019 via the old fashioned way (Coffee Meets Bagel). Ashley, bless her heart, braved the perilous journey from far-away land of El Cerrito (an hour long BART ride) to meet Jerry at the Starbelly Restaurant in the Mission district. Jerry, an SF local for all of one week, was already impressed; not only did she agree to meet, she even decided to go dutch on a first date (nice move, Ashley!). He knew he had to lock this one down - on the fly, he decided to plan a day-long date to explore San Francisco, spanning from a scenic walk along the Marina Greens (with his trusted wingwoman/dog Suki), pitstop along the Golden Gate Bridge, some competitive mini golf in Mission Bay (where Ashley may have engaged in some funky accounting of golf scores), and had a rooftop dinner at his apartment. 5 different locations all in 1 day - the date was a smashing success. Soon, one date turned into many, which somehow, turned into almost 6 years of love, laughter, and putting up with each other's quirks. And now, here we are! If you made it this far, congratulations - we love & appreciate you! - Totally not written by Jerry

Travel

Our wedding venue is located in Ko Olina, on the west side of Oʻahu—about a 45-minute drive from Waikiki. Ko Olina is a stunning and peaceful area, perfect if you're looking to turn this trip into a relaxing vacation. That said, accommodations in Ko Olina (both hotels and Airbnbs) are more limited and tend to be on the pricier side. If you’re looking for more lodging options, plus easy access to restaurants and shopping, we recommend staying in Waikiki. We’ll provide transportation to and from the venue, with pick-up and drop-off at the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Waikiki. We have some recommendations below to get you started on your research!

Answer

Please RSVP by July 3rd, 2025 (Jerry's 31st birthday 🎂). You will be automatically counted as a "no" if you don't respond by this deadline.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will have a welcome party on a boat on Saturday, August 30th. This will set the tone for the weekend, and it would be a great opportunity for everyone to meet other guests invited to the wedding. We truly want this to be a big party where everyone can have fun and enjoy the beautiful Hawaii together. All guests are invited to this event, but it is not mandatory for you to attend.

You can see the dress code for the events under the Schedule section.

Yes, there is a parking lot at the venue. There may be limited parking spaces as there can be another wedding happening at the same time. Please carpool with other guests or sign up for shuttle bus here: https://forms.gle/eA6XWGe2nrBWweiR8
