**UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT** Clock Tower Events is under new management and located in downtown Denver. Prior to 1950 the Daniels & Fisher Department store was the ‘crown jewel’ of the Denver skyline. Built in 1911, the D&F Tower was the tallest structure west of the Mississippi, at a height of 393 feet. In the 1960’s after financial ruin the building was set to be demolished. In the early 1970’s, Denver was able to save the actual clock tower from being destroyed. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it lights up the Denver skyline and remains a defining building for downtown. Now, the top five floors of this beloved structure are available for smaller, private events through Clock Tower Events. Located 20 floors up in Downtown Denver, the recently renovated space features décor that’s elegant & modern, breathtaking panoramic views of the skyline & surrounding mountain ranges from two balconies & offers guests the opportunity to see behind the mysterious clock faces.

affordable in Denver

FAQs about affordable in Denver, CO

For a 100-guest wedding in Denver, expect a total budget of $27,900–$41,900, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. Venues typically account for about 13% of that total.

Based on Zola marketplace data, affordable wedding venues in Denver start from a median of $2,500, with most falling between $1,500–$3,500. Beyond the venue rental itself, budget for:

  • Catering: roughly $3,726 for 100 guests
  • Photography: around $3,364
  • Florist services: approximately $5,434

These figures give you a realistic framework for planning without sacrificing quality or experience.

Denver's affordable wedding venue options span two main capacity tiers, giving you flexibility across guest counts.

Medium venues (51–150 guests) start from around $1,826 and work well if you're planning an intimate celebration or mid-sized affair. These align nicely with budgets for 50–100 guest weddings ($17,000–$41,900 total).

Larger venues (150+ guests) start from approximately $3,014 and accommodate celebrations of 150, 200, 250, or more guests. If you're hosting 150–300 people, these venues fit within total budgets ranging from $38,200–$98,400.

Both tiers include stylish options across Denver neighborhoods—from trendy RiNo lofts to classic LoDo spaces—so you can match your venue size and style to your guest list and budget.

Yes. LoDo (Lower Downtown) is Denver's most popular wedding neighborhood, offering historic brick buildings, rooftop views of the Rocky Mountains, and a vibrant urban vibe that feels both upscale and accessible. Nearby Cherry Creek adds a polished, modern feel with galleries and restaurants close by—perfect if you want an elevated atmosphere without steep venue costs.

Rooftop1630 is a standout choice, rated 5.0/5 and starting at $2,500. One guest called it "a hidden gem" after attending a rehearsal dinner there.

The Lobby, also rated 5.0/5 and starting at $3,000, delivers an urban wedding experience with owner Christian providing exceptionally responsive communication throughout planning.

Both neighborhoods offer excellent access to vendors and guest accommodations.

Rooftop1630 leads the pack with a 5.0/5 rating (29 reviews) and starts at $2,500. Guests rave about it as "a hidden gem," praising its natural light and flexibility for rehearsal dinners and main events alike.

The Lobby also scores 5.0/5 (14 reviews) at $3,000 and delivers an urban aesthetic with owner Christian known for quick responses and seamless vendor coordination. One couple called it "a fantastic choice" for their modern wedding.

Grand Hyatt Denver, rated 5.0/5 and starting at $3,500, stands out for its team's genuine warmth and exceptional accommodation of outside vendors. Couples appreciate the professionalism paired with genuine kindness throughout the planning process.

Book during Denver's off-peak season (November–March, excluding holidays) when venues are more motivated to negotiate and availability is higher—you could save 15–20% on rental fees compared to May–September rates.

Explore emerging neighborhoods beyond LoDo and Cherry Creek. RiNo and Capitol Hill offer trendy, Instagram-worthy spaces at lower starting prices than downtown's most sought-after blocks, often with similar guest capacities.

Negotiate package deals with venues that include catering or bar services. Many Denver venues bundle these to increase value and simplify vendor coordination—compare all-in pricing versus à la carte rental.

Consider Friday or Sunday ceremonies instead of Saturday. Many Denver venues offer 10–25% discounts for off-day bookings, and guests often appreciate a slightly different timeline.

Visit venues in person during shoulder months (April, October) when you'll see realistic lighting and crowd flow without peak-season chaos, giving you better negotiating leverage.

Finding an affordable venue starts with understanding what's realistic in your market. According to Zola marketplace data across 50 US cities, affordable venues have a median starting price of $2,500—41% lower than the overall median of $4,270. Here are proven strategies to maximize your budget:

  • Search intentionally: Use specific terms like "affordable" or "inexpensive" rather than browsing all options. Many budget-friendly venues get overlooked when you're not filtering strategically.
  • Consider day-of-week timing: Venues often offer lower rates for Friday or Sunday weddings compared to Saturdays, sometimes saving hundreds of dollars.
  • Explore unconventional spaces: Look beyond traditional banquet halls—parks, community centers, farms, and lofts frequently offer lower starting prices.
  • Negotiate packages: Some venues are flexible on pricing, especially during their slower seasons or for smaller guest counts.
  • Check what's included: A lower starting price matters less if you're charged separately for tables, linens, and service staff. Compare total costs, not just base rates.

The price range for affordable venues spans $1,200 to $3,850 across the country, so options exist at various budget levels depending on your location and needs.

For a 100-guest wedding in Denver, you can expect to spend between $27,900 and $41,900, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. This is notably higher than the national median of $25,000, reflecting Denver's growing popularity as a wedding destination.

Your spending typically breaks down like this:

  • Florists: $5,434
  • Venues: $4,658
  • Catering: $3,726
  • Photographers: $3,364
  • Videographers & Planners: $3,002 each
  • Bar Services: $2,981

Venues represent about 13% of your total budget. Venue and catering combined account for a significant portion of wedding costs, so choosing the right space is essential to managing your overall budget.

Your venue size should align with both your guest count and budget. Here's how Denver wedding costs scale:

  • 50 guests: $17,000–$25,500 total budget
  • 100 guests: $27,900–$41,900 total budget
  • 150 guests: $38,200–$57,200 total budget
  • 200 guests: $47,300–$71,000 total budget
  • 250+ guests: $56,500–$98,400+ total budget

Based on Zola marketplace data, Denver venues start from $2,500, with a median price of $3,500 and rates going up to $7,000 depending on location and amenities. Smaller, more intimate venues work well for 50–75 guests, while mid-size spaces accommodate 100–150 comfortably. Larger venues in popular Denver neighborhoods are better suited for 200+ guests. Consider your venue choice early, as it anchors your entire budget and guest experience.
