What are belly bands used for invitations?

Practically speaking they add help hold all your additional cards together. So if you're adding an RSVP and enclosure card to your invitations, a belly band keeps them secure. Belly bands measure 12.31 x 2 inches when flat, so you wrap them around your cards and use the included sticker to hold everything together.

How do you put a belly band on an invitation?

Don't worry, this isn't a major DIY task. Here's what you need to know:

  • Stack your invitation suite in the following order, with your invitation on the bottom and all cards facing up:
    1. Invitation
    2. Reception card
    3. Directions card / Accommodations card
    4. Reply card with reply card envelope
  • Center the belly band over your stacked suite and place the included clear sticker on one end.
  • On a flat surface, flip your suite and band over (so everything is face down). Fold the non-stickered end around the suite first.
  • Wrap the stickered end of the band tightly around the suite and adhere to the other end.
  • Slide your completed invitation suite into the envelope with the cards facing up
