Welcome the beginning of our best adventure yet!

Working at P.F. Chang's brought them together, and after a while it was easy to see that this was becoming more than friendship. New Year's eve 2013 was the night that started it all. She invited him to a fellow co-worker's house for a party. He was under the impression that she had invited him as a friend. Little did he know, she wanted that midnight kiss from HIM! As midnight hit, and Jared planned to head out to meet some friends, Sarah insisted he walk her out, and the rest is history. Jared had a plan in the works to move back to his home state of Colorado, and Sarah was moving to California with a friend. One night, over some drinks, they decided that this was something special and that neither of them wanted to end the relationship. Fast-forward through eight months of living in different states, and a long move from California to Colorado, and now they've decided on forever!

The vacation to Hawaii had been in the works for at least a year. Planning and saving were all they could think about. This was about to be a trip they would remember for the rest of their lives. (rewind to Christmas 2017) They went on a hike one morning with her dad, and when she fell back a little to rest, he asked for her father's blessing. Sneaky Sneaky. (fast forward to Hawaii 2018) After nervously holding on to the ring for three weeks before the trip, they were soon on their way to paradise with the ring in the bottom of his camping bag. June 9 was the day. The morning was filled with snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. The plan was to continue the adventure with a hike to the Lanikai pillboxes. It was a hot and humid day, and after reaching the first pillbox (halfway up) Sarah wanted to rest. He figured they would just stop for a little and then continue to the top. After some convincing, they were on their way. Once at the top, he helped her up to the top of the bunker, and after fumbling with the backpack, finally made his way to the top. With the go-pro set up, it was time. He got on one knee and asked her to be his wife. This was the day they had both been waiting for, and it couldn't have been more perfect.
